May solder ignitor wire onto ignitor. Has cheap push connector on it now.
I have the same problem with mine. Lights fine when I first arrive, maybe the second time maybe not. I've cleaned and lubed all the connections. Had the dealer tell me it was spider webs, he brought out a brush and swabbed out nothing at all.
I also took the burner assembly apart and set the gap to 1/8" as the book suggests. It still doesn't work reliably after the first light-off of the weekend.
In my book, Suburban makes a pretty crappy product. All around me at the park where I keep my Windjammer, there are folks with he same model hot water tank and they mostly behave the same way.
I wish I had a suggestion for you. The Attwood I had in my last camper lit every time with minimal fuss. With the Suburban I usually end up with the electric element turned on. Or at times, I run out with my BBQ stick and light it manually. Lights every time that way, too.
