SO we are thinking of maybe upgrading to a 5ver from our VLite. We have a floor plan in mind that we want and there are a few options 2 of which are Forest River units. The Crusader is only 2900 cdn more than the Surveyor but we have to drive 6 hours or more to Calgary to possibly get one vs 2 1/2 hours to where the Surveyor is.
Any thoughts?

I don't know much about either one but I will say that it was a big mistake we made with our Crusader is not having windows on the door side of the 5er. We would sit and eat at the dinning table looking at our neighbor site and not ours. if you kids or grand kids you can watch them while they are outside playing. Just my thoughts.

They look pretty similar from pictures. Of course I am bias ...But so far 0 complaints about our 294. The "campside" slide with tv and dinette was what really drew us in and all the features the PT oftered. It is nice while eating or even just watching tv to be able to look at our site.
I don't know much about the other brand. Best of luck!

Sorry, I looked at the 295 and not the 294 Crusader. They swap side to side. I had the 315 and didn't like it but the 294 looks like a nicer floor plan
