Tank heater on, but no water.

At work right now and just had a "RV moment" as my wife calls them. I turned on the tank heaters last night because of a freeze warning for my area. I haven't purged the black and grey tanks yet and they still have water in them. The fresh water tank is empty. Will the fresh water tank heater damage the tank if there is no water in it?

As long as the thermostat's are properly working I don't think you will have a problem.
