Hi all, I'm getting a ww 30 Kqbss and it says the length is 33 feet,does anybody know if that is the total length from hitch to spare tire or just the body length.How are the lengths normally measured.thanks

33' should be tip to tail .

The trailer number 30 kqbss means you have 30' of living space.

well, my Rockwood Mini Lite is a 2109S model number but that relates to the total outside length. It is tucked away for the winter but I think I measured around 18 ft for actual living space

I just put a deposit down a the Salem 30KQBSS at an RV Show. Just curious if you have towed it yet and what is your Tow Vehicle?

Hey great laker, I haven't picked it up yet next week I hope,I ordered it and its in.I have a 2012 ram 1500 and by doing all the math I think it will tow this but be at its top loaded,soo I ordered a 2013 ram 3500 with the hemi,dont really need a diesel i only plan on taking it out about 5 times this year maby more later but the diesel is expensive and am going to trade in my 2012.I think I have to pick it up with my 1500 as the 3500 isn't built yet so if it does ok I may keep it.Lmk how yours goes.

I have found no commonality among makers in what their model numbers mean. In some, like open range it is the square feet of floor space. In others it is the length of inside living area. Others measure the exterior of the box and some measure tongue to bumper. One model i was looking at advertised 31ft. I called the dealer to verify the 31ft was total length and salesman insisted it was. I had already told him i wanted less than 32ft. When i rephrased the question he changed his answer. I asked "so if i back this 31ft unit into a 32ft garage, i'll be able to close the door?" He replied, oh no. You'll need at least 35-36ft to allow for the hitch.
So my point is. They will tell you wrong sometimes even when you ask. Bring a tape and measure when shopping. I've heard more than once "oh, i didnt know it was that long." :-) its so much fun.

yep, don't go by model numbers for any kind of measurement.
there's no consistency in the RV industry.
but when the length is posted on the website or brochure, it's tongue-bumper.

It is a very convoluted system, our zinger 29db was 29.6 inside wall to wall and 32.10 over all.

I bought a 26dbh... it's 31'7" overall length... and it certainly doesnt have a 5' long hitch... so going by model description can be a bit of a guessing game it seems
