Does your 6.2 have the cyl deactivation? My 05 denali 6.0 only gets 14 hwy, but has no cyl deactivation.

I didnt think the 6.2 denali had cyl deactivation, just wish mine got that good. I think it gets 15 on interstate trips.

On our trip to Cades Cove in the Smokey Mt. National Park last weekend, the computer figured 11.7 mpg running at 60 mph on the interstate.

2008 Surveyor 263, 28.5' long, 4760 lbs. bringing back new from the dealer, 5500 lbs. ready to camp with 1/4 tank water. GRWR is 7559 lbs.
2006 Ford F150, 4x4, Super Cab, 6.5' bed, 5.4L engine, 3.73 gears, 7200 lb. gross weigth, rated to tow 9300 lbs. Typical weight of the truck is 7000 lbs camping ready.....including tongue weight with WDH.
Non towing, the truck gets 17 mpg combination driving, and 20+ mpg on the open road.
Driving with OD off as much as possible, driving 65 mph on the Interstate across the rolling hills of the Piedmont section of Virginia, the mileage is 10.5 to 11 mpg. On cruise with the OD off, the mileage drops down to 10 mpg. The mileage will drop down to 10 mpg with a strong headwind, also.
Again, on 2 lane highway in the same type of country, driving 55 with a stop at a traffic light approx. every 7 miles, the mileage is also 10.5 to 11 mpg. Complete stops can really drop that mileage.
"Flat" road in the Tidewater area of VA. the mileage will be 11.0 to 11.5 mpg....again with a stop light every 7 miles or so. I thought the mileage would be a lot better in the flatlands, but I guess going downhill in the Piedmont counters the uphill gas guzzling.
