TPMS

I have been researching TPMS brands for a few months now. I'm the type that likes to monitor everything. I found this system on Amazon and with the discount coupon the total was $57. Not sure if the coupon is still active. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've pulled with it twice now and the system picks up as soon as the TT starts to move. I was worried it would not reach but it seems to be doing fine. I have a 36' TT.
One question I do have is what is a normal temp and PSI to expect a tire to hit when towing. I set my high PSI warning to 95 PSI and during my 45 min drive, the PSI reached 85 PSI and about 90F. The outside air temp was about 85F. The system will give an audible warning and flash when a tire is out of parameters. Curious as to what others are setting their TPMS limits too.

Thanks,
Colin

I believe the high temp alarm is set to 195 degrees, not 95. That’s what mine is set to.

I just checked. The default high temperature warning is 158 degrees. Sorry for any confusion.

Colin, i really love my TPMS

The TPMS manufacturers have a temp that most tires fail.
There are recommended parameters for the tire temps.
On the tire pressures, i set the TPMS 95lbs for high and
at 75lbs in the tires (max 80lbs), i set the low at 55lbs.

It is really interesting to watch the tire temps change with
the sun hitting one side and the side with more slide weight.

hope this helps or gives you things to research.

158F = 70C which is good temp for high warning. 195F is way too high for TPMS system.

Did you need to use a repeater? Also what length camper? I’ve been looking into tire monitors also thanks

Brand,

I did not need a repeater. I have a 36' Lacrosse Travel Trailer. I'm sure there are better systems out there but I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a system. With this system I can monitor the most critical items; is the PSI and Temp within tolerance. If its a few PSI off I'm ok with that.

Thanks,
Colin
