Trailer is gone looking for a 5th wheel

Our trailer is gone due to hail damage. The insurance company said it was a total loss. Now we are rv-less and looking for a new one. Looking at both a SandPiper 300BH or Wildcat 323QB.

Can say anything about the Sandpiper. We have the Wildcat for over a year now & love it. Find it to be a good mid level rig. One thing the WC furnace heat the holding tank no heating pads. Winter camp in the 10-20 F @ night with the thermostat @ 68 or higher no problems. The cat pulls great, WE Have the Trailair pen box.

Had a look at the PrimeTime 5th wheels, but couldn't see how they were a 'premium' unit, as the Flagstaff is just as nice. We couldn't be happier with ours.

I don't consider Prime Time a "premium" unit. Same price range as my Rockwood.

Looking at the features and so forth when comparing the Prime Time Lacrosse to the Rockwood I had, the Rockwood was just as good or actually it had a few more features. The difference is in the construction. Different materials and methods. Prime Time places a 25 year warranty on the roof, floor and all water connections. The slideout walls and roof are constructed the same as the rest of the tt, so it's OK to walk on the slideout roof. After final factory inspection every unit is taken to a seperate facility and checked and tested once more before shipping.

On their web site there is a link, Eternabond Construction, explaining their construction. Here's the link;

I'm not trying to put down the Rockwood or Flaggstaffs, nothing wrong with either unit. Just noting a few of the differences I found.

We traded our 2007 Wildcat 24RL for a 2011 Rockwood 8280WS, the workmanship is top notch. We enjoy all the added space and also the 2 recliners. Just my 2c

We sure love out Wildcat. A great looking trailer and so far has been great to us. They have a new line-up out for 2011 and some interesting layouts. They are not on their website yet, but I can get you a link to some sneak previews if you want.

I've got a 2011 flagstaff classic superlite 831RLBSS with an atrium slide.

Very nice fit and finish. Lots of nice features from lots of windows to power stabilizers.

Has a pretty high quality feel to it's appearance inside and out, but it's still brand new.

Great rig so far.

Well, the Concertone unit is a bit of a black eye on the experience. Not in features but in quality/bugs. But we're working on that).

Time will tell if the rest of it stands up to the rigors of long distance towing and use.

I would recommend it, but it's still to early in our ownership to give it a ringing endorsement....

Finally after a month and a half of searching we finally have a deal on a new 2010 Wildcat 30LOFT. Now we just need to get a hitch and a break in the weather so we can get it. Wonder how we will be able to wait ...
