My 15 cherokee 274 came with the "dome/mushroom" antenna and it gets decent reception. Since this is our first TT I was wondering if the "batwing" antenna gets better reception or am I over thinking this?
I don't know anything about the dome/mushroom, but I have a Winegard Sensar IV (has integrated "Wingman"). I did the retrofit from my Winegard Sensar III that hardly received any channels. The IV does much better than my III did. If I had waited a short time, I could/would have gone with the newer Rayzar retrofit if only because it isn't directional which to me is just a pain.
