Question Under chassis spare carrier

Does anyone know of or carrier source or even the possibility of moving the spare from the rear bumper and relocating it to the underside of the 5th wheel near the front landing gear. I feel like I have seen this done on another 5er and like the idea of having the rear bumper free for other accessories. Picking up new 8528BHSS this week and wanted to start looking in to this.

I moved mine from the rear bumper carrier to the front storage compartment. Modified the carrier to mount to the floor with the spare sitting upright. Allowed room to mount a bike carrier at the rear.

I bought a mechinism from an rv dealer which i saw underneath a 07 dreamer. cost was $28 took about 30 mins. to install. It came with a crank handle that lasted about a min. before the end made of pot medal broke , i welded a socket on the end and it works fine

You can go to a junkyard and remove the mechanism shown above, but heavier duty from most any american built pickup truck; but it may be spot welded in place, so be prepared! Randy
