It's probably ok....but just ok....there is nothing like washing it, then getting right down to it and applying a proper wax...it's hard work, but the results are much better and longer lasting...may take you a couple days to get it done but the results are a shine and a protection that is much longer lasting.

I agree, we just recently picked up the camper a little over a month ago so I've not had the time to spend putting a fresh coat of wax on due to either rain or colder temperatures arriving so my thought is to at least wash it with this protection i'm sure it will do the job during the winter and then prior to summer do a hand wax to protect from the summer elements

I totally agree with WFD - it's OK as a "wash" but for polish/wax, there's just no easy way out. Either pay up, or be prepared for LOTS of elbow grease.

I have used Camco for many years. It does the job, on my white park model lots of black streaks. Fantastic works well on these and with the large Costco size jugs cheaper. I wish with Camco after and it looks just fine.

I always wax my whole unit 2 or 3 x's per year. I had a boat and let the gel coat go one time and it took a lot more work to get it back from oxidation. I will use that wash and wax in between when I just wash the unit. It will help. But you still need to wax by hand at least 2 x's per year. I would not suggest to use a power buffer on those thin gel coat walls unless you know how to do it.

And some of today's waxes are really not that hard to put on and take off...some brands of paste wax can be a chore. Meguiar's makes an RV wax that works very well and isn't overly difficult to work with. It's called Meguiar's Marine/RV #50....designed for gelcoats....big fan here of the Meguiar's products.

I totally agree.
Nothing beats the shine of a good coat of hand applied carnauba wax.
But, as others have said...it is a lot of work.
I do mine every spring...since she hibernate inside, I skip the fall application.

A simple rule of thumb is to stick to marine grade gel coat products. Spray on or hand wax, it's up to you.
Many on here use Areospace 303 for a UV protectant. It's great stuff for protecting decals. Not only protects but does a great job rejuvenating faded plastics.

Go to an auto detail shop and get the application called "diamond coating". It costs a few $$ and it keeps the TT looking new and never needs waxing. Wash it, clean the roof and let it dry. Done. Bugs wipe right off, dirt doesn't stick, and no black streaks..Love it! Love it! Love it!!!

Totally agree...love Meguiar's products, the RV stuff is pretty easy to apply and remove. My wash/wax is usually a weekend job--wash Saturday, wax Sunday. Miyagi-style.

We use Meguiars on all of our vehicles, so we will probably use it on our new to us HTT as soon as it is nice enough to clean her up. There are many choices on the maguires site for wash and wax maring/rv products. Which ones do you use?

3M fiberglass cleaner and wax and a foam buffer pad VERY lightly and fast , if you let it go too far 3M restorer and wax.... Owned a boat detailing business for many years no advertising and never short on work.

you cant really escape a good wash and wax/polish every few years....

i use the meguires wash/wax product in between, and its great....but the finish isn't real long lasting...

i wash and wax mine myself sometimes....but honestly im too lazy and busy anymore....i let me local detailer hit it with his crew once a year....hand wash with full hand wax/polish.....bout 150$.....worth every penny...

wash and wax

I know I have seen it somewhere on this site, but can't seem to find the patience to look for it. So, is a canauba wax o.k. for use with decals?

Have a 2013 Coachman purchased last year and it's time for a "hearty" wash and wax.

Thanks,

Jim
