Water filter leak
I picked up the new Rockwood TT yesterday. Seeing all of these stories about these new water filter incidents, the first thing I did when I got home was look at it and see what I could do to test if it would move and/or stop it from moving. While it didn't prove to be an issue I did find a small problem. At one of the outlets at the very top of the filter casing, there is a very small crack and there were a few drops of water on the hose down towards the floor. This is what allowed me to trace back to this and nevertheless it was the location of the leak. So would someone describe to be how and what I need to take this filter out completely. Instead of replacing it with a different kind of filter I just want to insert tubing to continue the lines. I read about someone else doing this. This leak isn't enough to be extremely concerned about, but I'm glad I caught it and I want to eliminate the problem. Since we leave on our trip tomorrow, I got some water weld putty to put around the crack, however it may not be a permanent fix and there is still the worry of the filter canister spinning off and flooding my new TT. Thank you for your help.
