Water Heater

Hi folks I'm new to the forum. My wife and I took out our 07 Wildwood T23FBL for the first time last week to Baja and had a blast. The one downer for our trip was that our faucets and showers released hot water in short spurts. If I were to turn on only the hot water it would come out cold with occasional hot spurts. Is this normal or do we have a bigger problem?

simple things first
i would check and make sure the by pass vavles are not open or partially open, this would allow water to by pass the water heater and is used to winterize the water system

second bleed all the air from your tank just to be sure the air is out

you can bleed it by manually opening the upper pressure releif valve and hold it open till water runs out of it, either by using your fressh water pump or hooking up shore water

hope it helps

If you have an outside shower, check to see if the faucets are closed. You can open the faucets and not get a flow until you squeeze the "thumb thing" on the nozzle. The hot and cold water will mix inside the faucet body if the valves are left open.

Thanks for the tips, hopefully I'll get this figured out. I'm not dure if my outside shower head has a trigger but I'll check, if not I have a feeling bleeding the heater might do the trick. Thanks.
