Be yourself, and don't let anyone take that from you. Those that matter won't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.

Best thing we did when getting started is to spend two nights in a campsite near our home. Ask questions and learn from others just like you are doing here. I've seldom had a day on the road without learning something from the other guy. Have fun and slow down. If you are a "left-brainer" like I am, slowing down is a real problem. No, you don't have to get to the next stop by tomorrow. Force yourself to take your time. If you like a place, stay there an extra day or two. Keep in mind, most of us travel without advanced campsite reservations. We usually make them the same day or the day before at best...with some exceptions such as State Parks and sites near special events. (Don't go within 200 miles of Sturgis SD when they have the annual motorcycle rally like we did - there were 450,000 bikes!)

We are all there for the same reason. The grass doesn't need to be cut, the phone isn't ringing, the doorbell isn't either and it is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable. So relax and enjoy
