What did you do to your camper today?

Started working on installing the sewer hose storage that will accommodate the Rhinoflex. Had to remove the smaller fitted hose compartment from the front basement, assembled the guttering to fit in the 5" vinyl fence post and the angle brackets to attach the post to the inside of the OEM hatch on the side of the basement. While doing this I found a light in the basement area I didn't know I had.

Tomorrow, when the 'No Nails' has dried that attached the angle brackets to the vinyl post (aided by duct tape), I'll attach that to the inside of the hatch door using screws, no nails and duct tape and the support the back end of the post using some plumbers roll wrapped around the struts in the top of the basement ceiling.

If this all works I should have a 7' storage tube in the front basement capable of holding a full length of Rhinoflex hose, the fittings and a length of gutter I can use to support the hose when it is deployed. All accessible through the original sewer hose hatch.

Fingers crossed.

Put one extra turn on the torsion spring on the awning to take a little load off the motor retracting the awning.

I had to run a new trigger wires from the roof mount relay box down to the furnace. The wires are shorted together somewhere in the wall so what would happen is it would run the furnace constant unless I pulled the fuse. I think there is probably a staple through the wire somewhere making the connection shorting it out. It was tricky but I was able to totally conceal the new wires within the cabinets and ceiling without any major disassembly.
Feels good to have a functional thermostat again.

Completed our first short leg of our 10 day trip through Kentucky. Stopped by my mother's place to spend the night near Ann Arbor, Michigan and then off to Richmond, Ky tomorrow.

Finished off installing the sewer pipe storage for the Rhinoflex, winterized her then off to the dealer for the counter top to be replaced, the valves sealing the grey and black tanks to be replaced and the crack in the shower floor sealed.

That's us done for the 2014 season, now time to start planning for next year. Oregon coast looks favorite for now, finishing up in Anancortes, WA for some whale watching at the end of August or start of September.
