What did you do to your camper today?

OK I'm back.I alredy had a real campground type 30a distribution box on the back wall so I used it on the cornerpost of the carport. The #6 wires go to the busses in the 30a box as they are feed thru lugs.Then #6's into a 4 blade 50a RV receptical mounted to the bottom of the 30a box.Another set of #6's go from the lugs into a welder receptical,also mounted on the bottom of the 30a RV box,but it only uses red,black, and white since it is a 220vac receptical.Then the original 30 RV receptical IN the box was wired with a #8 red,white,and bare from the lugs to the 30a breaker in the box. This will supply one phase fused at 30a,a white nuetral,and the bare ground to this receptical.The other 20a breaker (on the oppisite phase ) is wired to the 20a duplex receptical in the box.
So what we have is the 2 50a legs (black and red),a nuetral (white) and the ground (bare) to the 50a receptical.We have one phase of our service (red),a nuetral,and a bare ground wired thru a 30a single pole breaker wired to the 30a receptical. We have both a red and black plus a bare ground wired to the welder receptical and the other phase (black) with a white neutral and bare ground wired to the 20a duplex.

I also fabbed a strain relief from 3/16" x 1.5" flat stock and placed it at the bottom of the corner post.I built a chargeing station for outdoor batteries and attached it to the backside of the post as well.

One more thing,since the RV box is considered a sub-panel,the grounds (bare) must be attached to a lug in the panel that is isolated from the nuetral.The nuetral(white) and ground(bare) can only be shared at point of service entry (your main panel in the house).

My thermostat is for heat only, so just a white and red wire.

The Reflextic was bought from Lowes in a 24" x 25' roll and I cut a piece to fit each of the windows and skylight. They are held in place by pieces of Velcro.

I charged my camper battery today using my new CTEK MUS 4.3 8-stage battery charger. Worked perfect and I am very happy with it.

Has anyone replaced the dometic electronic thermostat with a standard home smart thermostat? The dometic thermostat has communication wires that controls the ac and furnace

Yesterday I did a few things to my Prime Time Avenger 27BBS. Here is what I did:

1) Oxygenics Shower Head Installed
2) LUX Digital Thermostat installed to replace Coleman Mach
3) Cutoff Switch built and installed
4) Tidee Tub Splash Guards installed (no pic)
5) New Power Tongue Jack installed, I pulled off with the old one down and bent it beyond repair
6) Washed and waxed (no pic)
7) Installed screen door handle (no pic)

Today I removed the internal water filter ( that was mounted under the bed in a very awkward area) and bypassed it using a 6" long 1/2" NPT plastic pipe nipple. I just got done ordering the Camco external water filter from Amazon.

One of our local dealerships did that to mine when I last dropped it off with them for servicing, and then told me I brought it in like that. Really? How did I crank it up to tow it down the highway, then?

They gave me a new one. And I stopped doing business with them.

I did it to ours last year.

I have stopped kicking myself, but I did for a while there.......

Ours is just used for the heater portion, but it made a big difference in night-time comfort.

Unless, you were Superman, you couldn't do all that in 1 day!

That would take me month to do!

I wish I had that energy!

Made like 3 men in a tub........scrubbed roof and cleaned the awning.....then took a nap inside it.

Installed two small mud flaps in front of the slide out gear assy. To keep sand and gravel from being thrown up from the tires.

I'm in Ohio. We had a trip planned but since I messed up the Jack we cancelled it so I could fix it. Figured since I had it out I would just get all the stuff done I had been meaning to do for a while now. Took me 12-14 hours of non stop work with some help from DW of the wash and wax.
