We visisted ours last Friday, almost got stuck in the snow. Today the snow is nearly gone, have had some warm days finally! Hopefully bring it home next week for a weekend away.

We were Arctic Temps below 0 for 48 days. Records.

Something about taking a drill to a brand new camper bothered me.
Actually, I had no difficulty drilling that first hole - maybe that's because all holes had to be drilled underneath... no punching through outer or inner walls. An added tension easer was the fact that the first two holes (in the front and center) were already drilled by the factory!

Swept off the roof to inspect for any winter damage. Everything looks good.

I'm not sure what you did in the picture...did you drill through the truck receiver on the left/right side and then screw in metal screws to hold the hitch tight?
Just drilled and tapped into the collar on the hitch for a 3/8-16UNC gr8 bolt and locknut.

You need a kit or a complete set of poles?

I can't pick up the poles, so it would have to be another set of brackets.
