I had the hard wired in TT. Bought portable for 5er. I will use security cable with it. These units are great. Saved my electronics at a CoE camp ground last year.

If one uses Honda Genny's with a hard wired EMS, you need to make up a plug that just plugs into a 20 amp outlet on genny........check with Progressive..

Progressive Industries EMS units are not designed to provide over-current protection (i.e. they are not a breaker). However, I suggest you check with PI to confirm that you can use a 50A EMS in a 30A trailer.

According to their website, the PI EMS provides these features:
· High & Low Voltage Protection (Low <104, High 132>)
· Lost/Open Neutral Protection
· Frequency Protection (Low <51Hz, High 69Hz>)
· Open Ground Protection
· Polarity Protection
· Built-in adjustable time delay for A/C compressor
· Voltage Meter
· Frequency Meter
· Built-in: Surge Fault Indication and Amperage Meter

Along with the endless supply of gadgets and do-dads I have been researching and buying, we also took delivery of our RV building.

It can in on a flatbed semi and was unloaded in several large stacks. At some point in the next couple of weeks the pile of materials will fill this space...

Hopefully they leave my grass as green as they portray it in the rendering!

Took the 5er to my friendly RV repair shop this morning. The are going yo install new rubber around all 3 slides. Noticed the large one was rotting at the top. Figured I'll get them all fixed. Wish I would have noticed this when we went to Goshen, they might have done it. Oh well.

I've been looking through this thread off and on since I joined, and I keep seeing a reference to awning poles. I can't seem to put together a good enough search (using the App) to find the original pole and / or its intention.

Can someone please enlighten me as to what exactly they are and their purpose? From what I can gather, they attach to the awning and sit on the ground. That is about it.....

Thanks in advance. Pictures help!

OC is the one who started mak'in them, now Turbs does also....was designed for electric type awning to be able to stay deployed in 35 to 40 mph winds. They are attached to awning arms and store there when not in use....slick deal....I made de-flapper poles that also stay attached....go to the for sale area of forum, OC posted yesterday...PS--OC lives in NC

What did you do to your camper today?

I'm not trying to starve the hungry children of those who make poles for a living... but I made mine from PVC pipes I bought at Home Depot.
