Thanks for the info and pictures guys. After seeing them, it is clear now. They work in conjunction with tie downs.
I have always been an awning freak, and roll it in with anything over a breeze. Have seen to many wrapped around motorhomes and trailers at the dragstrip.

Looks similar to the one I built.
My green grass is currently replaced by some of that white stuff!

Thanks in advance. Pictures help!

I picked up material to make 6 sets of poles when I get home in about 2 weeks. Where in SC do you live? I'm in Concord, NC just outside of Charlotte. Will have 5 sets of poles for sale if I can get Bob Caldwell or Glenn Gurczyk to take them to the Mayberry Rally.

Yes sir. Winston Salem NC.
If you don't mind, PM me a price for the set. I'll be flying out of Charlotte a few times in March and could meet you somewhere in Concord and pick them up if they are ready.
Thanks!

Tired of getting creases in my forearms from sitting at dinette, so I took the top off and rounded the upper edge with a 1/2" quarter round router bit. Sanded it smooth and no more creases! Thinking of putting a lip on the counter extension. Anyone done this?

Today....
Put the Andersen in the bed and pinned it in. Gathered the tools to install the adapter on the pin box and put them in the truck.
That's about all I have done.
We did book our first stay last night. 3 nights at nearby Tanglewood park starting March 11. Have an AAU baseball tournament that weekend that is just a mile or so from the park. Will be a good shakedown.

Going to pick it up out of storage tomorrow. Got spring break in three weeks. Several things to do to it before we roll out.

I have the Vengeance 25V toy hauler and elected not to get the HappiJack bed option. It's normally stored at the top of the garage area. Not having that option leaves the garage looking empty...really empty. Picked up some unfinished cabinets at Lowes, sanded and stained to (sorta) match and mounted them where the bottom of the cabinet is 6'3" above the floor. Lot less empty now and I'm still trying to decide if I want to duplicate the setup on the opposite side.

Made a new manifold for the water connections. Now I just have to turn on the one I need instead of changing hose locations.
I know I didn't do a very good job of ensuring my water line was plumb. This will drive me nuts every time I open the door

Tried to install a back up camera
I need some advice..please.
So, the camper is wired for a back up camera. We purchased a Furrion Backup Camera System Model FRC12TA-BL. Got the ladder...scooped snow...took the cover off the rear housing and there is at least 6 feet of excess wire! We tried pushing the wire back into the camper and the wired only went in about 6" and then no more. There isn't room for the camera and all the wire! I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

I installed the backup/observation camera (which has a wider view, for changing lanes etc) a couple of months ago, and there was about 6-9" of cable, certainly not 6ft !
I'd suggest cutting the cable shorter, and splicing the end with the plug back onto the rest of the cable (you could even just use smaller wire nuts, since it's just a 12v cable).
If the camper is relatively new you should be able to get the dealership warranty dept to fix the excess cable as a warranty item, since someone on the production line obviously messed up.
Good luck !

It pulled fine. I was a little concerned with the numbers going into it simply because I had no idea what the truck weighed. I figured it would handle it ok, but if not we would have some time to sell the 2500 and look for a dually if needed. However, rolled into the CAT scales just a few miles from the dealership and weighed the truck with the family and a full tank of fuel.
3920 front
2900 rear.
Stopped in for the $2 re-weigh with the trailer and about 1/2 tank of water.
4180 front
5420 rear
10860 trailer axles
20,460 total weight.
I had went back and forth on putting an air bag kit on it this week, but decided I wouldn't have time and would wait to see how the spring pack looked loaded. It handled fine, and still had plenty of travel but I am going to add them anyway.
I'm happy, the CFO is happy, and the kids are happy.
Ready to camp now!

Took the camper to the dealership (Orlando RV) service dept this morning, to get them to fix the shower door which was out of alignment, and was hitting the bottom of the frame.
I only made the appt yesterday, and surprisingly they were able to fit me in next day (which is unheard of).
This afternoon I replaced all of the internal door handles (master bedroom, master bath, and 1/2 bath by the bunk-room) with handles with privacy locks. (bought for about $12 from home depot). Since the original latches had no flange, and the replacement did, I had to chisel/cut a cut-out in each door for the lock flange.

Yes you can- just run a jumper wire from line 1 to line 2 so it can detect voltage.
