Not the RV but the TV...

This will facilitate taking the dogs with us for our first camping trip in June.
Had the topper installed last week. I need to fabricate a bracket to replace the front clamp as the current one will not allow me to open the toolbox mounted in the bed. Need to weld up a thinner one.

Took the camper to the dealership service dept yesterday to get them to check the brakes as they didn't seem to be doing enough, even on max settings in the truck.
They found that we only had brakes working on one side of the camper, which could have been very nasty if we had to stop quick !!

Apparently they didn't crimp one connector properly at the factory, and the electrical signal wasn't getting to the passenger side brakes at all. The service guy just cut off the connector, and installed a new one.
Turned out to be something that I could've easily done myself, if I'd just spent the time to check the wiring harness.

At least the brakes will be good now for our big roadtrip. Glad I did push them to schedule us in before the trip. There are a couple of other minor things to get done under warranty too (like replacing a splitting slide-out seal), but not sure if the parts will be in before we leave (superglue might have to suffice short term).

BTW, If anyone has any recommendations on procedure for adjusting brake controller ("Gain" and "Effort" (I think this is really TV/RV bias)), let me know.

Glad they caught for you and anyone on the road, could of been a bad thing but at least now you know and we all learn from MFG's poor quality control.

What did you do to your camper today?

Dropped it off at our summer campground in Wisconsin Dells.

Also just finished mocking up my ladder satellite mount. Click image for larger version

Since DH was afraid to use screws after the TV fiasco (another story), we used double sided mounting tape that says it can hold up to 30 lbs. hopefully it will hold well.

We bought what looks like the same key rack for our Class-C (SOB). I used the heavy duty Command Hooks velcro type holder. I tried the standard hold first, but once we got multiple sets of keys and a dog leash, it kept falling down. The heavy duty has held well, except for the time I tripped over the leash and pulled it down.

As suggested by several here on the forum, specifically Gidyupgo, I installed the Roadmaster RSSC Reflex Steering Stabilizer. I'm really anxious to take the Sunseeker for a spin to see how the stabilizer performs. But, chances are I'll get the Blue Ox trac bar and Blue Ox sway bar on first. I've already got them and have read the instructions. Now I just need a decent day and some time.

Mods this year were the led lighting, the 2 blue streaks and my 2 sewer hose storage compartments, also installed led strip lighting throughout the camper Inside and out.
Replace my stock ceiling lights with brand new led fixtures in the inside kitchen ceiling . Will be adding more led in the bedrooms. Next mod I was doig was the back up camera with Bluetooth adapter. Will post pics when I'm done
P.s.also had the carpet professionally cleaned.

I was thinking of doing an LED strip all around the camper underneath it, but never used those strips, do you need a control ballast for LED strips or can it be directly wired into the 12volts?

I wired mine into a 12 volt remote control box. Turn on/off anywhere. Yes they can be direct. Better ones are 9-24 volt so they can be dimmed.

Head Gamez~~~ Where did you order this from? Also, I'm a little confused... is the only choice metal or plastic and if so, will it fit any trailer tire size? I'm having trouble finding someone that really carries this item from the list on their page. I thought this would make a nice Father's Day present.

Can't help but feel like maybe there should be a NHTSA complaint filed on that one...

Yes! Totally agree. That is exactly what those complaints are for. Having only one side working could be deadly.

If you are talking about the TPMS, I ordered it from Amazon. You can choose between the flow through or screw on sensors.

The TV mount I ordered from GoStik.

Getting it de-winterized, so far all systems check out, HW heater, stove, propane, pumps all check out now. First trip of the season 5-18 to 5-22 at Frontier Town in MD with a whole bunch of friends camping as well should be fun
