Washed it & the truck. 303'd everything on the roof as well as the decals & tires. Waxed the entire TT. Wanted to wax the truck, but ran out of steam. Will do that tomorrow.

I got tired just reading your post! We hope to at least get the TT washed this weekend and waxed next weekend. Of course it has to stop raining to get anything done!

That has been our issue. Been raining every day. Had a break today. Was supposed to rain again starting tomorrow. Now forecast says tomorrow night. That's why I felt okay to put the truck off until tomorrow.

And I still need to get the lawns mowed before Tuesday ( 1.5 acres ). Leaving Wednesday A.M. for Oregon. 1st real trip with our new trailer

Managed to get some little projects done on our Cherokee 274DBH...

1 - Installed paper towel holder above kitchen sink.
2 - Installed toilet paper holder in washroom.
3 - Installed hand towel holder in washroom.
4 - Placed hooks on kitchen wall to store the sink cover when not in use (borrowed that one from a "mods" forum!).
5 - Placed hooks on walls to hold vacuum and interior broom.

Small projects, but needed projects.

Thumbs up Last weekend

Busy weekend, added a new whole house filter with open/close and bypass handle, removed the slider thermostat and installed a digital thermostat. Removed panel above the refrigerator and am working on putting in a sliding drawer. Removed panel and will be installing a very small trash can in restroom under the sink. ( did not take a picture of that one... )

I replaced my inverter which didn't last very long with a commercial model. The new one, a Samlex PST 1500 is about 2.5 times larger than the original 1500 watt model.

Ordered an upgrade for my fantastic fan. The one that came with the trailer is three speed with no reverse. Found this one on amazon to add a thermostat, reverse and pop out screen for easy cleaning.

Video explains differences with different upgrades.

Let's see. Leaving for Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores in a few days, so...

Bought a towel rack/shelf for the bath room. Haven't put it up yet. Put the beach towels in the camper, installed an A/B switch so I can send the satellite signal throughout the trailer, but also switch back to antenna without unscrewing any coax, tried the LP gas line to hook the grill into the quick connect line (didn't work the way the dealer said), and measured the cabinet doors under the dinette seats so I can put some Slider drawers in.

Changed the oil in my truck and decided to replace one of the truck batteries that the sight glass has said was bad for 2 years. Naturally Auto Zone's tester declared it bad, despite it showing 12.79 volts. I bought a new one (not from Auto Zone) anyway since I don't want the other one to go bad while we are gone.

Now, to bring the trailer home from storage and start stocking up 9 days of stuff for 5 people.

Unplugged the thermistor on advice of RV service center because frig temp came up from 34° to 54° in 2 days. He feels the thermistor may be faulty and advised unplug to see if temp drops. Unplugged at 1:00pm. Now at 9:00pm, 8 hours later, temp is 36°. So tomorrow I'll install a new thermistor. Wonder how hard it'll be to feed the little end thru the back of the frig.

Also mounted a remote control wall hanger next to the bed to put remote, phone and reading glasses in.

Yesterday, replaced my 24 series marine starting battery (original equipment,???) with a 27 series deep cycle.

About your truck. You should always replace both batteries. The old battery will just draw down the new battery now shortening it's life span. The 12.79 is only a surface charge voltage. A carbon pile load test and test each cell will tell you the health of the batteries. Not looking for a debate on the topic, it's your money.

No worries. I agree with you. I will likely buy another battery when I get back from my trip. The truck is 5 years old and I'm sure the other battery will go soon.

My old truck had a battery short out and it did take the other good battery with it. The battery I just replaced has had the green indicator light show black for 2 years. I thought this past winter would do them in, but we had a fairly mild winter and the truck always started fine. I don't know what is up with this one though. I don't trust AutoZone and their testing. I've been burned on alternator and starter tests before. I took the battery in on the chance it would test ok and there was something screwy with the sight glass. Since it didn't, I figured replacing one would be a little insurance if the other one decided to tank. I'm just interested in getting to the beach. Getting back... I'm not so concerned about.

Fixed kitchen sink coming apart from counter

After a failed attempt at a warranty repair on my Grey Wolf for my kitchen sink coming apart from my counter I decided to brace it from underneath so it won't separate again. Dealert put a couple of tiny scresults in and some glue and it all came apart with the first use.

I just go down to the river sites are more level and they pump you out for free on certain days, clean campground except for the RV storage Eye sore up at the top, but like that place as well as Lake & Shore and Timothy Lake South.

Even the spots just past the storage lot aren't bad. The wagon wheel loops are all pretty hilly. But, orientation with friends won over levelness. To fix these sites (need to "terrace"/stair-step them) would be a major investment in landscaping + a long-term commitment to upkeep.

Would installing a "snip the tip" at this point be a good idea? Should give you a little more control than the sliding fin thing.

(Unless I'm completely not understanding; and if so- ignore this post.)
