I'm curious: How long can you run one of those on a 20# tank of propane?

20lb tank of propane is about 4.7 gallons. So it will run for just about the same time as 4 gallons of gasoline will run since propane has a little less BTUs. So 30 hours or so at 1/4 rated load. Heavier continual load = less time obviously.

FWIW, my Yamaha2400 seems to easily run my A/C as well. My personal opinion is that the Yamaha is under rated for output as I have metered mine at above its rated output using space heaters when I first bought it. The 2400 has the same displacement motor as its 3000 watt bigger brother. This seems to make the 2400 struggle less under heavy loads. At least that is my guess.

I found it on Kijiji ( cdn Craigslist)
It's a couple years old.
https://www.yamaha-motor.ca/products...up=PP&catId=33
This is the replacement. It is better at high amp startup loads.
76lbs.

I was looking at the new one, but got the used one for less than half.
So, I went with it.

Looks cool. Just one question, did you put the poles out before or after parking the car?

I ordered mine with the black powder coat for the other reason. The DW and I love to play at night the "Who just cussed and will it leave a mark game".

Seems Bob has put an end to that game with his modification. I like it.

a month ago we were at a cg and for three days the ac never could keep up,
started looking for what I could do to help it,....... hoping this helps and I'm very close to pulling the cover again, insulating the underside with the reflectix and also painting the outside white over the black plastic,.... that black cover has to be like a furnace up there in 95 deg. sun,.......

Black radiates heat better than white and white reflects heat better than black. So you might want to keep the back half (condenser) of the cover black and paint the front half (evaporator) white.

The condenser will tend to be hotter than outside air (even at 100 deg F) so you want it to radiate. The evaporator will be cooler than outside air, so you want to reflect the outside heat (sun) off of it.

Of course, a black and white cover may not meet the approval of the fashion police, though.

Pretty happy with the modification to the skylights. I think the chain is a little long. It will not be hanging there either

The glass in my cabinets were installed by Forest River using some kind of hot glue. Overtime, the glue has let go. I lost one door glass on the entertainment center. It broke and I had to replace it and the door on the other side with smoked glass as the ornamental glass is no longer available.

Today, I removed the hot glue and glass from all my upper cabinets as they were ready to fall out. Used some clear silicone and redid them all.

Hot glue.
