I took the Equalizer hitch and adjusted it to the new truck. My 2013 had a slightly modified rear suspension to improve the horrible sag. So the hitch was set up for it. The new F350 isn't as tough in the rear springs so I had to adjust the Equalizer to compensate. Had to adjust ball height, add two washers, and raise the L-bracket one hole. Dang!

But it appears to be much better. Racing this weekend so we get to see how I did.

Ouch! Sorry to hear it. Was it just the bumper, or the trailer wall as well?

Unloaded it and towed it back to the storage lot.

We got back yesterday from our end of summer trip. Two weeks, 2590 towing miles. Averaged 11.81 MPG. Austin, TX to New River State Park, NC, then to Nolin Lake SP, Kentucky (near Mammoth Cave NP), then back to Austin. Temps were wonderful - max was 77 all days but one.

Hmm. Mostly the TV....who puts all this crap in my truck. Preparing to install progressive HW unit and building under trailer tire storage.
We shall see what next week allows me to do.
