Replaced all my converted to LED overhead lights with these I found on Amazon that have a two-way switch that allows for just one light to be on as well as both.

Ok after reading up on water level in the battery i thought dang i better check. I put it off for a few weeks but i was thinking this NC summer and the heat on the battery in that black battery box i better check it today while it is cooler in the morning well i figured out real soon not a chore for "big man" (me) but i got through it and the pickup tool helped with the hold down strap. Water level looked ok by the way i did top them off. Enjoy the pics Click image for larger version

Now the DW is always worried how hot it gets inside the travel trailer and i always worry about the wind catching a window and blowing it up and warping the hinge. Here is a good compromise with a spring clamp. Key is to pinch bottom of slide arm and plastic guide. I hope the pic shows itClick image for larger version

I took off the tire with the 1.5 inch drywall screw in it when it was delivered two days ago. Had the tire patched and put it back on. Click image for larger version

Cleaned the awning.

Fixed the panels that have begun to pop off since the use staples to hold the trailer together... Also ripped out the nasty carpet from under the dinette and put down tiles.

On a residential it is to keep condensation from forming around door and dripping/molding.

You know, with all us modders, with what we fix and improve, we could build one hell of a camper that would put all camper companies on egg shells. What we do is not nearly as time consuming or that expensive during manufacturing, is a lot better and much more durable.

I guess we just have to keep buying crap and making it better.

I've been so tempted to do this in my wildwood because the kids drop food all the time and the carpet is dirty now. Did you have to cut it or just pull it out from under the benches? Also, how did you go about lining up the table bowls accurately?

The carpet had no underlayment and was only held in with a few staples. There was plenty of space left where the carpet went under the dinnete so I could pull it out using a pair of lock pliers. Just make sure to get all the staples out or hammer them smooth. As far as the leg holders, I started laying the tiles in the middle row. After laying the first one I used the screw holes in the plywood to line up the holders and used a sharpy to outline the screw holes onto the tiles.

Repaired one of the poorly build Lane recliners. The frames are built of plywood stapled together. One of the arms fell apart and the front seat cross member came apart. Removed upholstery from arm and glued and sewed in back together. Hope it holds up:-)

I have been trying to think of a way to leave awning lights up but still pull in the awning when we leave for the day or when going to bed for the night but without taking down the lights just to put them back up. Materials needed, you will see what the heat shrink is for later

Hang lights with only one plastic awning groove hanger

To roll awning in just take one middle hanger down and roll in. I do need to work on slack but it is with stock hole hangers on LED Edison style lights. I might add a couple of S hooks in between a couple of bulbs to take up the slack.I have them on a credenza dimmer slide switch and remote control outlet so easy to turn off when going to bed.

With the shrink wrap on the eyebolt does not stick out so much.

Depends on model of rv. We went from full to short to give ourselves more room between the bed and closets [emoji3]

Got back from the lake this afternoon and my new digital controllers for the Coleman ACs had arrived. They are now installed and functioning perfectly. Super simple.

Roof maintenance this weekend! Scrubbed the edges and put down eternabond tape fore to aft on both port and starboard edges. Pulled up the old sealant on the aft seal and put down eternabond tape and then new sealant on the aft corners. Ran out of time before I could finish the forward end and around the exhaust points.

Covered the interior of the entry door and storage compartment doors with reflectix insulation. Added new gasket seal to compartment doors.

Have a great week!

Agreed...provided you aren't too tall. The short Queen bed can be OK as long as there isn't a wall up against the foot of the bed. I debated this when we bought our current TT. I'm 5'10" and it works for me. We have a (barely) walk-around short Queen and my feet don't stick out the end of the bed.
