We place our Shower head down on the bottom of the shower wrapped in a towel so not to scratch the finish, like you I don't trust leaving it in the holder as one good bump and I think it would break.

Same one I got the kit from (Performance Trailer Braking). The kit just went up to $1,650 and if you want them to do the work the out the door price is now $2,650.

I wouldn't call the install a difficult process but I think it takes just a little more skill than the average backyard mechanic. If one has ever pulled or replaced an electric brake assembly, and has ever changed the pads in any type of disc caliper, they shouldn't have a problem. Installing the hydraulic pump and lines can be frustrating since the install kit is not custom made (yet) for each brand of trailer. Some improvising will be required.

Since I was faced with replacing all the electric brakes the net cost for installing the disc system was closer to $1,200. I had electric over hydraulic disc brakes installed on my horse trailer six years ago (it was $1,500 installed at the shop back then) so I was expecting good results. But, this system is much better.

I might add that the brake controller in the truck is a big factor. We recently replaced the horse trailer tow truck with a new Ram Dually which has the factory controller. I haven't driven it yet (it stays in Texas) but my daughter says the brakes work much better with the factory controller. We used to have a Prodigy unit. I'm not familiar with all the add-on controllers but apparently some of them are not as good as others when it comes to teaming up with the electric over hydraulic system.

The guys who own Performance Braking are going to be at BamaGanza in October. Looking forward to meeting them. They are a very "user friendly" company with awesome telephone support for those of us to like to do our own work.

My solution was to take a piece of red strap material and install it over the slideout switch. The slideouts have to be out to raise and lower the antenna.

The idea is, seeing the red over top of the switch we will know and remember to crank the antenna down before retracting the slides.

I have the standard crank up antenna and hook the truck keys to it. Can't go anywhere without the keys and if I mess this up I'm buying a pup tent.

sad thing is a buddy of mine did just that... forgot his wife in a bathroom on an interstate rest stop thinking she was in the back of their motorhome.
his phone was dead in the bedroom and it wasn't until about an hour later that he pulled over to do something and realized she was not there.

It was a pretty quiet month on the road after that.

Thanks for the tip and we are not boon dockers so we will always have electricity. I will look around at Wally World for something reasonable. I enjoy cooking outside in the morning while DW is still sleeping

Got the thermostat installed last night.. Wound up hiring someone to do it and glad that I did.. One of those wires was pink another was a dirty white. I am partially colorblind and figured I might have trouble seeing the colors correctly...

Installed my Furrion rear view camera. Had it on a previous TT. Made a couple trips with our new TT and really missed it.

Installed a screen door bar. Really makes it better when opening the screen door with our cat in the camper. We can keep control of the door when she is thinking she wants out and it's not time.

Bought two of these and gave one to a friend and put it in for him.
