I mounted a tool box to the front for my hitch stuff and tool bag. Also mounted a receiver to hold the hitch head while not in use.Click image for larger version

We have already discussed that.
I told her maybe later. We just built an extra shelf in one of the side cupboards for canned goods. She always packs for 4 to 6 people, there's only 2 of us. At least we can stay longer without going hungry.

Did you then go "standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona?"

Unfortunately not. Apparently there was a “Standin’ on the Corner” Festival in Winslow yesterday and we were worried about handing and parking the rig in all of it. Plus, I really don’t know the song! [emoji23]

But, we did stop in front of the Wigwam Motel which was the inspiration for the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars. Having a 5 year old and a 13 year old- you can guess which they preferred we stop at!

Before Jackson Browne and Glen Frey came along, Winslow was already famous for the small signs along Route 66 that had a cute girl on it and said "For Men Only - Winslow, AZ" and then the number of miles to Winslow. There were signs about every 10-15 miles for something like 150 miles east and west of town. They weren't ads for a "genlemen's club," as you might think; turns out they were ads for a men's clothing store in Winslow. I was unable to find a pic of the little signs, but here's a pic of the store.

I believe it closed in the late 70's, although I saw it in mid-April of 1972, about 2 weeks before the song was released.

Just finished moving everything (had to changed some things and re-arranged others due to less cargo space) from the “old” toy hauler to the new Rockwood 8311WS. Getting ready for our first camping trip this coming weekend.
Very excited [emoji38] !!!

I wonder if it would hurt the fifth wheel to leave it hooked to the trailer and pull the pins from the rails?
Leave the fifth wheel hanging on the pin box and regain my bed without having to lift the thing

Won't hurt a thing. People do it all the time. One word of caution, put a padlock on the jaw release handle so that no one pulls it and ends up with a 5th wheel hitch on top of them.

Washed the roof and the entire 5th wheel. Unfortunately all in preparation for the cover next weekend. Then the long cold winter. Yuck

Drained and flushed the fresh water tank and cleaned the already clean trailer getting it all ready for a drive down to Pismo Beach Wednesday for 4 nights .

Then I actually hooked up a coaxial cable to the TV antennae and determined it works really well . I get 32 channels in my driveway at home . Curious to see how well it does at Pismo Beach this weekend . Cant wait to watch the morning news while I eat my breakfast ..Starting to remind myself more and more of my Grandpa

Looking good!

I need to do this, and also run some power to my shop.

Your trench was 90 ft from what I recall - how much do you reckon this will have cost when you are done?

Wow, that looks really nice! Pics of the window? Was it a glass replacement or did you have to make a hole?
