altered the annoying natural wood color supports for the build a bed (eating area table drop for more grand kids.
removed and stained the 3 pieces with 2 coats of minwax stain. now I'm not blinded by the glow when I come into the trailer.

also added 2 hide a drawers under the table for pens and crayons, coloring books etc.

Closing the camper for the winter any suggestions on what to do with the hydraulic levelers. As they will be down for the winter

My level up system is 6 years old. Sometimes I leave the jacks up for storage, sometimes down. The only thing I do is wipe down the rams with silicone spray before raising after extended down times.

If the rams are exposed you could spray them with LPS3 or similar. It leaves a soft waxy coating which prevents rust.

Not a bad idea. But I've never seen any external parts that can rust on 5th wheel hydraulic level up systems.

Then it's nothing to worry about.
I use the stuff on hydraulic rams in my fleet, if they're sitting idle for any length of time.
Good to know I won't have to worry about my RV jacks

Started installing my pair of LowPro LockDowns for the generators to be secured to the back bumper. I'll be bolting and screwing them down and should be secure enough while we're at camp. Otherwise, they'll be secured in the truck bed.



Also used my new freshwater bladder from Kenny Kustom to refill my freshwater tank. I tried my trick of using the antifreeze inlet + winterization valve to suck from it. It worked ONCE I got the hose full of water- the pump couldn't suck air + water to get it flowing. The downside is that it was slooooooooow - a good 30+ minutes (if not longer, I was chit-chatting with friends). Someone once raised the concern of the battery usage running it like this and that's legit for how long it took to empty.

I've been looking for a way to supplement our boondocking water supplies for longer stays, either by carrying water in or by running out to get more water, whichever is more convenient to each circumstance. I can fill the pillow tank and carry it in my pickup bed to the trailer. The material appears to be very heavy and durable and there doesn't appear to be any reason that I can't drive down the road with it filled in my truck bed, especially as there's a BedRug in there. The tank is about half the size of a twin mattress 35"x50"x6", so it would even fit easily behind a fifth wheel for you 5'ers.

A few months back I picked up a 12V transfer pump for $40 at Harbor Freight that I can connect to the battery either on the TT or TV, and pump this into my gravity fill inlet in about 10 minutes. I tried the setup on the front lawn this afternoon both as a test, and to rinse the tank out once:



Success!

Ha! A water bed for vehicles... Who knew? Lol

I built a 12 volt pump that can suck water out of containers in the bed to the fresh water fill, works well and moves 50 gallon fairly quickly also use a run dry pump but only use it for Circle M and Gettysburg CG in Thousand Trails as we always have issues when they turn off the water for a while. My Fresh is only 60 gallons so good for 2-3 days but I never keep any in there while traveling

The guys from RV General Store at New Castle, OK did a great job adding a dual LP propane tank to make Clipper 17RD from Forest River capable to have a Rear Bumper Swing Arm Grill attachment. I won’t need an extra LP tank because I can use the hose underneath the camper. I’ll post pictures later if the end LP line.

Had some rain and minor wind come through last night about midnight we put our awning in instead of tie downs. We heard a pretty large noise at about midnight, it sounded like a BBQ grill blowing over. Well I am pretty sure I know what this camper is going to do to his camper today.

It looks like awning was not angled for water run off.
