For me, I want to replace the scissor jack that I destroyed back in August and finally move them forward towards the axles. I might even buy 2 sets and throw a pair up in front of the axles, but we'll see.

I need to adjust my B&W hitch head. At rest, it tilts back too far and makes it hard to tell when the camper is high enough to easily unhitch.

Nothing major right now. Just little stuff.

Thanks for the concern. It's all good here- we flew from TX to PA for my sister's wedding. Knowing that everyone would want to try and see us while we were there, we stayed back for 3 (long, looong, loooooooooooooong) weeks!
What kind of Jacks do you have or need?

I'd like to mount scissor jacks because I'm too cheap for a set of electric stabilizers. I think they're the ones with 30" lift or something like that.

Thanks. Glad everything is OK.

Not used up until you see the center wire all the way across. You must not stay too often in hard water CGs!

Yep, still good. I would hit it lightly with course sand paper, rinse it off, and stick it back in.

Good to see this. Thought mine was bad but from these pics it is practically brand new. Camper is only 6 months old.

Is it not about corroded through right at the Nut? I am thinking it will break off right at the nut and the rod would fall into the water heater

Nah, the core is a solid metal. It won't break off.

It won't break off. There's a steel rod down the middle that the magnesium is formed around. See the 75% and 100% drawings in Herk's post (#12167).

When it looks like the 25% remaining rod it's time to change it.
Yours has 75% life remaining.

You can change it at the 50% level, but it is a waste of money, IMO.

So I just changed mine after owning mine for only a year since I removed it to flush the tank. Now I'm getting a leak inside after it is turned on and relief valve also leaks. Any ideas?

So quick question, after removing it to drain the tank, should I leave it out or put it back in.

I put mine back in just hand tight to keep any bugs or whatever out. I just do hand tight because in the spring I take it back out and use a water heater flush wand on a hose to rinse it out in preparation for the season.

I would rather put it back in tight. This way if something comes up and you need/want to use the unit, you don't have to think, did I or didn't I?
