Our surveyor SC 226RBDS had the below dinette with no sofa, so we had to sit on this to watch TV. It is very uncomfortable.
I removed the dinette and built and installed this sofa
We use a light weight folding table to eat on and with 4 folding bar stools under the bed we can easily seat 6 around the table.
We needed more storage so I added 3 large draws. Each draw is 24 inches long, 24 inches deep and 11 inches high. They ride on heavy duty ball bearing draw guides.
At night the sofa easily converts to a comfortable bed that sleeps 2.
This is just 1 of many upgrades. It's fun when you make it your own.

You done good with that sofa!
We stepped into and walked right back out of many RVs when we were shopping. "Banquette?" yeah.... Nope, next.
So many floor plans require that you sit at the banquette to watch TV. Don't understand that.

They could be designed so much better if they knew what they were doing.

I've mentioned before that DH and I both have neck injuries (C-4/5, C-5/6) and being able to avoid head turning for watching TV lessens discomfort.
Yes, I realize comfort for watching TV isn't an issue for some, but for us we want the option for watching news, weather, or just junk food for the brain on rain nights.
Oh and he's gonna watch golf one way or t'other. NASCAR watchin' is just as likely to happen.
In fact, my suggestion that we combine his addiction to golf with RVing by picking out travel destinations close to courses on his bucket list was a big part of the final decision to go for it. The biggest grin I've ever seen on his face was when I asked oh-so-innocently; honey whatcha think about putting Myrtle Beach on our RV bucket list?

Having kept smelling the fair whiff of propane on the outside of my coach...I took it to the dealer to have it checked out among other warranty work. Came back from the dealer with a clean bill of health but low and behold that smell. I brought home a gas sniffer from work and started sniffing from the regular to my frig, stove, and water heater and back to the tank on the back side where the sniffer went crazy. I verified with soapy water a pin hole. I wanted to scream since it took me all of 5 minutes and a little crawling around underneath. Moral of the story....do your own sniffing. The funny thing is this, when I took it in for that and some other work....they did not seem like it was a big deal especially since I found it, but now there it sits in the middle of a whole row of other coaches right in front of the service center still leaking propane with over half of a 27 gallon tank to go just waiting for the right spark and it will probably be like that unless heaven forbid something happens which is why I did not want it sitting in from of my house one more second then necessary until a new tank comes in from the manufacture estimated two weeks.....I can only shake my head....safety first.

I would get the tank off the trailer immediately and take it to someone who can empty it safely. It seems the dealer doesn't give a damn.

They thought it wasn't a big deal? any leak is a big deal, this is why I will not and do not trust dealers and there crews. Some I guess are good, but they are few and far apart. I had a antenna replaced for my Sirius radio. The patch was never sealed or cleaned probably. The patch is just falling apart. Never heard of esterbond falling off once done. I sent a picture to the dealer and frog Bob, and to the factory, nobody has ever seen that kinda of work done before, my only saving grace is that I have a topper over it being in my slide roof. If I could post a picture I would and you wouldn't believe it. I'll try to post it again but it hasn't worked for days. Bob said he never seen such @@ work. They will take care of it in Goshen i have been told. When I complained to the service manager he told me to find a different Co. being I do not like there work>

What do you mean? I always thought you were going to make cathead biscuits. Well that news just ruined my day. By the way Myrtle Beach will be his golfing heaven, they are all over the place. Good place to take him....

Had the windows tinted today. The bedroom got 5% and the kitchen and living spaces got 20%. Don't have to get up with sun any more.

How is he sticking to the roof and how did you get the trailer on its nose?

Brought my camper home from my friendly welder. A few projects.....
Stole this idea from this forum. Great idea to weld a receiver on to store the WDH...
Had my fabricator make a platform for my propane stove to sit where the grill attaches...
He made it long enough to also set a plate next to the stove.
Also had him tack the safety chain storage hooks. I only had a screw through each...
Next project... hopefully get the Model 300 Dometic replaced. Just found the sticky with all the info the other night. I took a picture of the serial number and sent an email to Diane at Dometic. I'll follow-up with a phone call later tomorrow.

Suction cups and it is very precariously on its V nose.

Installed an Oxygenics shower head. I'm impressed with the improvement, but the shutoff valve doesn't turn it all the way off. Apparently that's common with these.

The battery box inside the front compartment was secured to the floor with steel bolts. After only 15 months one bolt corroded completely and two others were so corroded that the flats on the heads were rounded. Removed all four bolts and replaced them with stainless hardware.
Installed a Bauer NE keyless door latch. Now I won't have to always grab a key when I want to get in it.

As far as I know it is supposed to dribble. So it does not shock you with a temp change.
