Took our rig in to have the AC examined today. It's been pulling way too many amps, and not cooling very efficiently. We've seen it over 22 amps by itself.

Finally started installing all the lights, USB outlets, battery switch, dedicated brake battery, fuse box, and fixing the rat's nest the factory calls wiring...

Keep us posted Red, I will be very interested in hearing what the Techs diagnose!
Never did check the Amps when our A/Cs started acting up - the one in the BR just *quit* blowing cool air - the LR one seemed like it was only half working.
Our fix was a complete replacement under warranty at no cost to us

Have my free wireless back up camera installed. Used a surplus sirius suction mount to stick it inside the rear window. Adding TV connections to the awnings area for TV and DC at the back for the sat dish power

Maybe not the camper, but the TV got a little love. On my truck the factory lift pump is known to be questionable at best, I replaced it about 10 years ago with the "Updated" pump but it was little better.
Well today I decided to fix it. I installed an Airdog lift pump, fits in the factory spot, was an easy install and oh good grief. I went from 5PSI at idle and 0-1 under a load to a solid 16PSI now through redline. It's a different truck, I can't wait for the dealer to call me so I can test pull my camper now. It was fast before, now I want to go Camaro hunting! Lol!

Cleaned out and organized the storage area on the V-Lite. Got everything in with room to spare. Got all sewer connections in for full hookups, 2 30 amp extension cords, tool box, tent stakes for rugs, all connections for our portable blue tank, 3 sets of linx levelers, RVQ, collapseable garbage can, X chocks and 150 feet of water hose. I think that's everything might be a few more small items.

Had this extra cable lock. Not 100% secure but enough. Give it time and I'll be the one with the hack saw.

What did you do to your camper today?

Dealer said the AC was performing better than expected, within expected operating tolerances. It wasn't pulling more amps than expected, she said, and was cooling to better than 25F below outside ambient temperatures....it was 100F outside, near 75 inside. She told me the manufacturers expect around a 20F difference.
As for my comments that it's pulling upwards of 20 amps at times, she said that is expected - the hotter it gets, the more it's going to pull.
So...my AC is ok.
What I Did To My Trailer Today: I authorized my local dealer to repair the couple of minor cuts in the roof and replace the antenna coax that the oak branch ripped out when I drove under it. I'm thinking about asking the neighbor if I can trim the rest of that branch off that overhangs the street!

Packed up the trailer for leg one of Goshen 2014. TV washed, cleaned and Bikes on roof ready for departure in the morning!
I asked the City last year to trim the tree in front of my house, they came yesterday and worked around the Rockwood in the driveway. Lots of clearance now!

In 1 of your previous posts you said it was pulling more amps than you thought it should and wasn't cooling very well.
Now the high amp draw is normal? I would think when the AC/compressor is running, it should pull the same whether it was 100* or 80* outside. The AC won't know the difference as long as the thermostat tells it to run. 22 amps seems a little high from my experience. Might I ask how you were measuring the amp draw.
And now it is cooling better than expected. Is it now parked in the shade so the AC doesn't have to work as hard? Was it in the open sun before?
Now about the tree limb, if it is over the street and is in the right-of-way, I wouldn't ask, I'd cut it myself. Or at least get the city/county to do it.

Red wolf: our campers ac was terrible whileout at a campground in SC.... It would not cool well and struggled to run sometimes. After getting home it was fine. Might it have been a power issue at the CG? I am pretty certain our issue was, got a PI power protector as soon as we landed at home!
Dbar: I might do this, we give them away at the station. No not the most theft proof but it will keep the honest honest and the not so needi g to work a bit harder for their quarry. ...
Cajun: thanks, I think we might get the door painted (I'll get this done professionally) to match the rest of the trailer as well. I love the colors but they left the doors and storage doors white... I would have pad the extra $500 for the effort to pInt the door to match..
Whew... OK, that was alot... I'm out!
