Also, a 1/2" PEX Tee, 6 PEX Clamps and a short piece of PEX hose, a PEX crimper from amazon.
Put the 3 way valve inline in your city water line and hook the odd port with a piece of PEX hose to a Tee in the line from the water tank to the pump.
With the city water hose on, turn the valve to supply the tank Tee. Be sure to remove the fill cap and stop filling at the first sign of spillage out of the tank fill.
You need to think the water flow through the valve carefully to get the flow direction correct on the 3 way valve.
It needs to connect the city water inlet to the side port in the fill position. Attachment 182216

I am printing this and filing it under mods for the time when we are out of the S&B and here for more than a couple days at a time.
Thank you.

Before you do this, try hooking to you AF connection. If you have two separate 2-way pump suction valves, just open them both (I did this on my Roo). If you have a 3-way pump suction valves, put in the halfway position and it should allow flow between the two positions (I do this on my Mini Lite).

Technically they are 3 way. The pipe thread goes into the WH, one barb to the input/output and one to the bypass.

Good to know, thanks. I got my brake controller and some special clamps for the racks on my truck. They are a good company. A lot good videos on YouTube.

Not sure what your point was here. If you were responding to my post 14080, then based on the number of people on this forum who have complained of no hot water and who have had their 2-way bypass valve open, I would say most of us have the standard three 2-way valves to bypass our water heaters.
However, there are many ways the manufacturers have come up with to bypass the water heater, all described over the years on this forum. Some use two 2-way valves and a check valve, some use one 3-way valve in conjunction with a check valve or a 2-way valve, and some use two 3-way valves. See page 2 of the attached.

I'm not sure what your point is. Use this valve and call it whatever you want to call it. The manufacturer calls it;
Elkhart Supply 28910 RV Trailer Camper Fresh Water 3-Way Valve 1/2" barb.
If you wish, you can call R2-D2.

If you look up "rv 3 way bypass valve" on amazon it will bring up dozens of examples of the valve I'm talking about in different configurations.

My point was that he may not HAVE a 3-way valve on his water heater, as someone said.

What did you do to your camper today?
Preparing for our first road trip with our 5er. Looking for suggestions on how to secure the shower head while traveling.

Got in my new tan sun shade via eBay. It's a 16x6', no factory grommets. Installed a grommet every 2' on top and 4' on bottom, grommet install kit from Harbor Freight. Picking up several small hooks to use the sun shade on the back porch at home as well as with the TT Awning.

Exciting things done to the RV today
Today, I pulled the bedding and it's in the laundry room at home. I found a can of chili, three years old, threw that one away. Spouse is installing new batteries in his flashlights and a smoke detector. We watched the news in the RV, was lots of fun. And I took a little power nap while he surfed his phone for a Crusader decal. In two weeks we are off for an excursion! yay!

I just leave it in the holder on the wall, I did take holder off about the 2nd year and put some clear silicone on the back and in the screw holes. Also used slightly larger screws.
I have also left in dangling down in the tub wrapped in a hand towel.

A long time ago, I re-routes the hose and took it out of a circle trap/guide. It made it easier to move around freely. It now lets the shower head reach the floor of the shower pan. I just lay the shower head on the floor on a wash cloth.
But, I’ve also let it in the holder and traveled many miles without issue.

Changed out the cheap stinky Aqua Magic V to the Dometic 310. What a difference.
