New Bern is just north of me! Good time of the year to visit eastern NC....no humidity yet!
and if you don't like the temp wait an hour, it will drop/climb 40 degrees! Spring is always fun around here!

We sure are finding that with the swing of temps here in Myrtle Beach. We went from having the heat on last night to turning the A/C on this morning.

I'm looking forward to it. We're staying in a buddy's yard. I haven't seen him in close to a year. He's got a boat, so hopefully this weekend is nice.

Its supposed to be!
US 17 from Myrtle Beach to New Bern is pretty good....almost all 4 lane, one exception is a 20 mile or so stretch north of Jacksonville through Jones county but nothing to be concerned with! Wilmington had some bridge construction going on last time I was through there about a month ago.

Thanks for the tips guys. I think some carpet will be going down. I might do the handrail too, although that would take some getting use to. I may have to do it just to get myself up the steps until I heal up lol.

It probably would have helped if I would have turned the light on in the bedroom.

Gotta love it. One minute you are sleeping in the bed.... Next minute you are motionless on the steps. Doh!

Good luck! On the handrail....I put a backer support on the inside of bathroom wall and sandwiched the wall in-between the handrail brackets and backer....rail brackets came from HD...

I use a small rechargeable flash light just for that reason. Has a high and low setting. One charge lasts over a month. Sure beats tripping in the dark!
