Continued working on the parking area for our 5er... in our back yard. Have previously extended the driveway with concrete but am now adding a gravel space where rear of 5er hangs off. Too much trouble to move 5er to mow the grass. I am outlining the area with landscape timbers, putting down weed block cloth and will spread #57 granite gravel a couple of inches thick.

Actually on Tuesday I finished the "Push a button, light the oven" mod. Works great. Will post complete "How To" this weekend while we are camping. That's the perfect thing to do while camping.

Oh ya, Sunday finished installing the new tri-color LED awning strip. Sexy it is.

Recently installed 2 LED strips, 1 in BR under dresser... lights floor between bed and dresser and 1 in kitchen in cubby where Keurig fits perfectly but previously had to use a flashlight to put water in Keurig... leave both on all the time when camping. 2 items purchased but not yet installed are sewer hose holder and screen door bar.

I took the cover off and backed the Beast into the driveway to de-winterize! Oh yeah. I replaced a baggage door thumb lock.

Yesterday I mostly took stuff over to the storage lot to put into the camper
Newly cut-to-length aluminum bunk ladder
Bunk mattress topper (also trimmed)
New shoe rack/bench for near front door

Also moved the mount for fire extinguisher up a few inches to clear the new shoe rack

and checked if revolution wedge would work with reese lube plate (but there's a whole separate post on that)

Oh, and ordered a "Big Red" propane campfire, and a hose to hook it up to the camper low-pressure propane quick connect

New Maxxis LRD tires should arrive today, so might try to get them installed on Saturday

I went under the TT with some black plastic corrugated wire loom and covered all the exposed wires that FR had just draped over and around the frame gussets and sheet metal to keep the insulation from chafing. Any exposed terminals on breakers and switches, I removed, wire brushed and coated with dielectric grease before reassembling. Kind of a proactive approach to future electrical issues on the underside due to corrosion and sloppy workmanship!

Look forward to reading your how-to.
I think a lot of folks would like to do this and just need someone else, like you, to blaze that trail first

Heading to Cape Hatteras KOA tonight on our FIRST real trip. I decided to swap out the original shower head with the Oxygenics/RV head.

Put 1 1/2" discharge hose on safety chains to stop rattle, stocked 5er with groceries, turned on fridge, ready for a 5 star weekend trip to Defeated Creek COE campground.
