Installed a new battery and didn't notice that the battery posts were opposite from the old battery. Yep!

Went inside after connecting the AC and most of the lights worked, slides worked, outside lights, tongue jack worked. No fan from converter, no Ac, no CO alarm light.

So I went outside and scratched my head and looked at the battery again. Switched the wires and still the same inside. Looked again at the converter/breaker box and now there was a red light next to a 15 amp fuse. Pulled the fuse, yes was blown. Replaced fuse, did a check on just about everything and all is well.

Thank you engineers who planned for a fuse to blow to protect all the electronics when an idiot hooks the battery backwards!

That's what I did today.

Planned on doing something else but figured why push my luck.

I have added 2,new carefree of Colorado slide toppers. The entire Jon took 4,hours. 1,slide was 85 inches and the other was 168 inches. No problem installing if your handy and have a few hand tools and a drill. Well worth the expense.

I made somewhat a manifold for my water connections.
I have inserted a a clear tube(approx. 3') into the fresh water tank, at times I've had problems being able to completely fill the tank. The tube works great, now I can blast the water in and the tank will fill entirely.

I initially wanted to do the manifold more so as a residential but I had a few parts kicking around and bought some and this is what I ended up with.

Not the prettiest but it does work well.

A word of warning, the sanitary police will **FREAK OUT** over the black flush being actively part of the manifold. I'd pull the photo, seriously.

Questionable service??

I picked up my coach from Mike Thompson's RV in Colton California today....added some lighting, which as yet does not work, I am taking it back tomorrow, had my ceiling painted through out because of some dried glue spots, that looks good....had the oil changed at 4500 miles...yes a bit early but I have my reasons dealing with up coming travel plans and I had various other initial touch up checks....here is the kicker....while in service my generator was ran 12.9 hours so they could keep cool while working on my coach. I brought it in at 9 hours so now I am nearly two hours passed its 20 hour initial break in oil and filter change and having asked, the dealer at the service reps level will not spring for doing the work....any ideas too push the issue or am I right here?

I wouldn't care about them running the AC, but with the generator? Nope, sorry. Since you put 40% on there and it was going to get broken in anyway I'd ask for 50% off and not budge on 25% off the service.

Oh yeah, that generator drinks a couple of gallons of fuel per hour I'd bet. $3.75 times 12 is $45. I'd remind them of that too. Make that fight for 75%. Go to the general manager if the service dept balks.
