Have you ever gone to Hocking Hills area in Ohio? It is beautiful. Hope to go there this summer or fall.

This thread has gotten quite lengthy, but lots of good stuff in here. I guess I'll add my contribution.

The only thing I have really done to the camper of note was repainted the stabilizer scissor jacks. I suspect it was just poor preparation in the manufacturing process but those things made it about 4 months before the paint was peeling off in big strips. So I took a wire brush, scraped everything that came off easily. Then I painted them with some primer (used Gray primer to help identify the areas I missed, which also helped when I repainted with black). Then I used Rustoleum Spray Bedliner on the jacks. Came out real nice. Not sure I have any pics of it, definitely no before pics. After a few months, it still looks like I painted them yesterday. Not bad for about $15 worth of primer/paint. I will probably do this on all of my jacks in the future.

Went to the camper Friday after work for the Memorial day weekend with wife and two granddaughters to find the refrigerator stopped working, a little trouble shooting and found the thermistor was at fault, replaced it, almost $200.00 to replace everything in it and now it is getting way to cold, Yes we had it turned to the coldest setting, now working to get it where we want it. What a pain to have to through out all that meat, fish and chicken and everything else...

Had it delivered this morning from the dealer (from winter storage since we bought it September 2018). And loaded a LOT of gear the rest of the day. Might be yard-camping tonight! It's just a temporary stopover until our permanent lake site is ready for us.

Hoping just another couple weeks and it'll be sitting in it's new forever spot!

The first photo is of our barren lot, measures 40x75ft, still lots to do before we get in there and start personalizing it. The South Saskatchewan River isn't visible from where I took the photo, but you can see it from inside the trailer. Definitely no worries about flooding!

  • Started searching for residential refrigerators that fit the space of my current one

Doug, I sent you a PM. But, this is what I put in this past winter.

Funny, I responded to your PM.

But, looks great!

I know if my wife has her druthers, it’ll be an upside fridge with the freezer on the bottom.

Not so much as what I did TO the camper, but what was done FOR the camper.
Had one heck of a dip on one side at the end of my driveway which really made the camper sway really violently, even coming out slowly. County decided to mill and overlay the road in front of the house and I spoke with the project manager about the issue. The County did me a solid and pretty much smoothed out the dip. Jumped on the bandwagon, hhitched up and had 5 CRs exchanged for 5 GY Endurance. The CRs were in good shape so I kept 2 of best ones and had them mounted on rims for util trailer. A little over two hours wait and 945 and change. No hastles and some good joking.

Furrion FOS48TA-BL, found it at CW.
Had to adapt both wiring and bracket but worth the effort. 30 feet from camera to dash mounted receiver and never a problem.

Fixed the shower skylight, it always had steam in it between the plastic inside and the dome outside. And they did poor cutting of the hole and I could see light through the ceiling and the white plastic fixtureClick image for larger version

Finally replaced the LED strip lighting under my Dometic 9100 awning. The hardest part was finding the replacement LED strip. Once I got it, I just had to pick up a new 2 lead pig tail since the new light had one and the old one didn't. Once I had the parts, it was about a 15 minute job. Wish I did you t sooner.

I replaced one of the position sensors on my Bigfoot Levelers. The factory part cost was $30 plus $15 shipping but I found a vendor on EBay that charged $20 delivered. [ATTACH]206085

Oxidation from road spray has been a continuing issue with my Bigfoot Levelers.
