Completed the install on our EMS-HW50C

We decided to put the display inside the small wall cabinet beside the entry door. It required us to purchase a 50' Data cable because the 15' cable supplied with the unit was too short.

We are VERY gad we did. Prior to install we had no idea the screen would be constantly blinking and changing the display. It would have been annoying to us.

This way we an open the door when first hooking up and if a problem comes up we can determine the cause. I taped a list of the trouble codes next to the display head.

Here are a couple of pics:

DouglasReid,

Nice work. Perfect place for the monitor.

Only had a single 12v battery that came with our trailer. Headed to Costco and grabbed a couple of 6v. The battery is inside the pass through storage and therefore vented. I found a box at Sportsman’s Warehouse for $17.99 that looked like it would fit. Grabbed some plumbing fittings from Home Depot and got it all taken care of. Also added a battery cut off switch because my old battery was always dying. Pretty happy with the end result.

This is exactly how we installed our system too. I like the monitor being in the outside cabinet so that I can check it as soon as I turn the power on. Good job and Happy Camping...

Cat got a new pair of shoes

After 21,463 miles and right at 3 years, I decided to get a new set of Sailun's put on my Wildcat. The old ones still looked great and ran great but I figured it was time. I hope I have as good luck with this set as I did the last.

we have a cutoff valve we added right where the waste pipe connects to the camper. It was installed to keep any leaks from creating a mess while connecting that sewer hose.

The plastic pull handle kept loosening up and Id just tighten it up. Well, on the way to this trip it must have spun off because it was not there when we arrived.

I bought a new one at CW and pus some Lexel on the threads as a thread locker. I hope this has permanently solved my issue

Actually not today but on Friday, put a new set of Carlisle HD Trail- load range E tires on. Hopefully won't have to worry about these like I did about the Castle Rocks. May get the Endurances next time after they have a few more years of proving. Kind of went with Carlisle's reputation this time on their trailer tires. I guess time will tell! Out for a 12 day trip now, so far so good. Happy camping to all!

Towed it home from camping by the Mackinaw bridge.
Unloaded some of it while re-loading other parts. Off to Maine in 4 days.

Who scheduled a weekend trip right before a thursday-leave week long trip? Fools, that's who.

I double checked to make sure I have everything for our weekend camp trip and made my shopping list of last minute items.. I took a regular queen sheet and sewed a seam about 4 inches on the end above the corner seam to make it fit better on the Campers Queen short.. The DH was a great help with holding it stretched out and had the idea of getting a board out of the garage to help keep it stretched out while I pinned it ..

I had a Schwintek slide motor fail on me. It would go out but not come back in. I fault traced the problem to the motor itself. I took it apart yesterday so that I could get the part number off of the motor so I could order the correct one. I found a new one on Amazon and it will be here this week. It's a good thing that I had the problem at home. It would be a pain to get the slide closed if I was at a campground.

We got 7 battery powered puck lights and mounted them in the pantry, her makeup area and her bedside cubby so we/she can see what we ae looking for in each area easily.

Not expensive and 3 AA batteries should last a long time in each one.

It was last Friday, but a buddy replaced the cooling unit on my double door Norcold fridge.

Norcold did it under warranty. The issue was that it wasn’t keeping the compartments cold enough when food was in the fridge+freezer.

There was also excessive condensation being made (to the point it would overflow the drip tray on the back instead of burning it off).

We’ve ran it since Friday and it doesn’t appear that the freezer is getting cold enough still. I may have him push Norcold more. If they replace the dang thing, I’ll just have him sell it, keep a fee, and then go residential. We’ll see, though.

I believe that KYD was having the same problem also with a Norcold 4 door refrigerator in their Grand Design Momentum toy hauler. They had the cooling unit replaced and it still didn't fix the problem.

I hope your repair goes better especially as a full timer.
