They do have a safer gas to test with, just can't remember the name. Has been about 10 years since last used it.

I bought a battery powered detector when my co detector appeared to be malfunctioning and going off for no apparent reason. The battery powered one didn't never went off, so I knew the other was bad.

Got down and sat in floor to look at propane detector. There is a test/mute button on it. Took it off and mfg date is on back. No mention of expiration date.

Just got back from Mousetail Landing State Park near Linden, TN. A beautiful park, with 20+% slope section of road. Put the F350 to a real workout. Great place for smaller units. Very scenic.

You are correct. Some are less than 5 years. Here's a link for FAQ, your answer is at the bottom of this page.

Finally Finished

Finished installing a wireless rear view camera. A couple of little twists.. Hard wired the transmitter to the hitch area for better reception. Also made the camera mobile so I can use it as a rear security camera while inside the trailer.
Not pretty, but works.

I have a battery powered CO detector in the bedroom. The other one running on the house battery has always worked fine on this trailer.

Installed Velcro straps to dinette frame to hold the fishing rods. I also started putting screen on the water heater door and on the fridge vents to keep the flying stingy things out from attempting to build new homes. No pictures of that, yet.
