Here's my newly installed wireless rear observation camera system. Cost me $119 with a 7" monitor and the range is fantastic.

Great setup. How does the camera get power?

If you look at the pic, it's mounted where the middle clearance light was. I used the same wires.
Yes it's one of the VMW models.

But how will the driver behind you know where the middle of your rig is?

Looks like a Haloview, only cheaper.

Funny how Chinese manufacturing works.

When running lights are turned on. I mounted mine just above the center marking light.

Thanks for all the input. I just ordered this one off Amazon and they had an open box, like new, for $89. Been wanting one for a while and for the price, I'll give it a shot.

Won't be able to install for a while since the RV is in storage until 03/28 but will get it done before we leave for Florida mid April.

Camera receptacles in the bed

My new truck came with receptacles in the back bumper for the wired trailer cameras. This is fine for a bumper pull, not so fine for a fifth wheel. I just finished swapping the in-bed and bumper connectors so the cameras plug in alongside of the 7-pin pigtail in the bed. And, as a bonus, the four-pin trailer connector is no longer in the bed but down on the bumper where it belongs. The process required 30" coax extensions from behind the bumper up to the in-bed receptacle.

Installed a High/Low AC fan switch next to the new thermostat and disconnected the micro interior light switch on the panel and installed a larger more accessible switch near the door. Now there’s no more fumbling for the light switch in the dark. Just need to find a block off plate so I can remove the micro switch.

Back in December I found a set of MorRyde Step Above for sale locally. Installed them and love them, but still had the (recalled) Hickory Springs steps installed. I had previously bolted some expanded aluminum to the bottom of their frame for shoe storage. Today I drilled the rivets out so I could remove the steps but keep the shoe storage....Click image for larger version

Slide gears dry lube
Inspect tires

Hmm. A couple on that list that I don't think are on my list.

I make it a point to put a few cups of chlorine into the fresh water tank along with 5 or 10 gallons of water and slosh it around and run it through the plumbing. This is likely overkill, but as boondockers we do get water from some potentially questionable sources once in a while and though we run it through a block carbon filter .... better safe than sorry.

I also remove the outside refrigerator vent and inspect things with a flashlight. I blow air in to remove dust especially if some has accumulated on the fins. I also check the fan to be sure it's still working.

An this year the Reese Revolution pinbox thing needs to be dropped a little and some grease sprayed in.

Oh, clean, organize, and re-stock basement.

Already topped off both propane tanks and did test run on all propane appliances.

And ran both solar controllers through a charge cycle.

Brown truck just dropped off the rear view camera. As I mentioned, I ordered a used-like new for $89. Stated that the packaging was damaged. Click image for larger version

That was it. The contents were perfect. It's always worth it to check the "used" options.

Can't wait to get it installed.
