Have you verified you can bring wood from Florida to a GA State Park? Most places allow only locally purchased wood.

Overall, Georgia DNR is very liberal with park rules. They only say the firewood rules are up to the individual campgrounds. I’ve never heard of someone being denied but I’m sure it could happen. The campgrounds even allow open and concealed weapons carry for anyone licensed in their home state.

We de-winterized our camper last Thursday. Then put bleach and water in the fw tank to clean and sanitize it then ran that water through all of the onboard water systems to clean them. Then today, Saturday, I drained out the bleach water from fw tank and then flushed the fw tank twice to clean it. and then flushed all of the onboard systems with fresh water to get rid of the bleach water. Filled up the food pantry and started putting food in the fridge for our trip to the outer banks next week.

Got it inspected (annual Texas "safety" inspection. He made sure the running lights, brake lights, and turn signals worked!). All good!

Interesting side note. The tire shop has a very small parking lot and there wasn’t room for my trailer. I decided to remove two wheels at a time and take them to the dealer for the tire install. Plus I wanted to go through the steps of jacking up the trailer and removing a wheel somewhere not alongside a narrow highway. The 12 ton bottle jack I carry worked great but I did find I need to add a few more wood blocks to my box.

Looks like a solid setup

Cleaned her up a bit while still in sunny Florida. Figured I would get as much done before heading home to cold Ohio. Sure get allot of sand everywhere after 6 weeks on the beach. Hope it stays warm at home, don’t really want to winterize again. Home two months then off to Montana to camp host again. Can’t wait.

Took advantage of two warm days...
- Made a sewer storage tube with 5" fence post, has gutter for a slide out tray and fits both ihoses and all of the fittings
- Adjusted the stops for my frameless windows so they open further
- Added a charging station for a 12V driver so the battery will charge while I am driving and I don't have to cuss in front of my 10 year old daughter when I go to put down my stabilizer jacks
- Added s strip of velcro to both bunk ends to attache PUG's
- Made "clotheslines" out to small diameter PVC pipe to hang beneath the bunk ends to dry towels, bathing suits, etc.
- Dewinterized to get rid of the pink stuff, then rewinterized with compressed air in case it freezes before our 1st camping trip next weekend
- Attached Andersen WD hitch and got it dialed in
- Cleaned the inside
- Took a 30 min nap to make sure the mattress is comfortable... it is.

Finished up my top bunk conversion to shelving. Now it’s usable for adults to sleep on.

What did you do to your camper today?

Completed my Haloview rear camera install (with switch wired to fan to enable use at all times).
Pulled out the porch light (crappy incandescent) and speaker (non functioning)to see if I could reach wires to mount another camera there (yes!) and got measurements. Ordered speakers, new light (LED) and another camera for next weekend’s project! [emoji16]Click image for larger version

Made the 1-hour drive to stop and take a look at it for 10 minutes.

No problems with the shed from the wind or snow. Or snow being thrown up from the road by a passing plow like last year.

Took a peek inside and saw no evidence of mice anywhere. Those Downey dryer sheets must be doing their job. We missed a couple of cabinets last year and the mice chewed up some TP and a cotton glove. So we doubled up on the sheets this year.

Counting down the days till the CG officially opens. We are under 40 days now.

We're counting the days too, can't wait!
I'm glad the dryer sheets seem to be working for you. I tried Bounce, Downy, and an off brand in my basement and the little creep rodents shredded and made a nest out of them two years ago.

Just an update to my post. Have been on the road for 3 weeks now, driving from NW Washington to San Diego. The camera has work almost perfectly. I've had to adjust the monitor antenna a few times to improve the signal. The manufacturer has agreed to send me a free camera bracket with longer arms so I can adjust the camera more.
For $119, I'm quite pleased with the system, especially the 7" monitor.

Give it a rest

After using our trailer as “home away from home” in Las Vegas for January-February, we emptied and cleaned it and left it in covered storage in St. George rather than winterizing it a second time and hauling it north into the snow. Then in April, we will need to go south again to retrieve it (and visit southern Utah) before bringing it home in May.
P.S. The trailer served us well during our extended stay, proving to us that we could handle my upcoming retirement.

Getting the cover off today and bringing it home tomorrow (just like a baby it sounds). Get her cleaned up for a weekend outing the 28th at Cape Henlopen State Park (we live only 10 mins from there). Installing a Haloview camera I bought this winter and also a WiFi extender I got. Grease up the bearings and make sure all propane items are working properly.

Just got home from the storage place taking the cover off. Easy peasy. TT looks like a new one (only 2 years old anyway) Went inside and no sign of any rats or snakes. Man where I store it has a couple cats. I also put dryer sheets inside everywhere.
