Just installed Gila Heat Control Adhesive backing on all 6 windows in my TT. Used 20 vlt since that is what the window in my entry door I put in last year has. About a 3 1/2 hour 2 person job. Not perfect but good enough. Figure I saved a couple hundred $$$$. And got to bond with the DW.

Do you just run the wire from one outlet to the new one like wiring in your house?
Mike
I ran it to the fuse panel under the fridge and added a new fuse to it. It was a lot more work this way, but I prefer having everything fused at the panel, rather than inline fuses that are a pain to get to.
I didn't replace the probes that I bought myself but had Orvan install them when my unit was there. I didn't want to take a chance on damaging the underbelly and felt my time was worth more having Orvan do it, even though it would probably have been simple enough for me to do it. From what I remember in talking with Amanda they are installing them more and more.
Unboxed my new 310 toilet. Can't wait to install it and take it for a test drive.
Got tired of the "Plastic Potty" with a seat more suited to a young kid (among other things).
We replaced our Aqua Magic 4 with a 310 last Spring. uge improvement. Plaus the old one had two issues - 1) the flush valve leaked and two, the fill valve leaked so it filled the 50 gal black tank in 3 days vs the usual 7.

The 310 is a big improvement. We got ours from Dometic a couple years ago due to the smell problem in some 300 models and just paid $50 I think it was to upgrade to the 310 with the soft close seat instead of getting a free replacement 300. It's so much better than the plastic seat 300.

Got ALL the Factory Holding Tank Sensors Working Correctly
OK boys and girls I wrote a while ago that I was attempting to fix my factory S=sensors in the holding tank level indicator system. To that end I had filled y black tank completely full after adding an entire box of Rid-X to the tank.
I let this fester away for about 3 weeks before we went camping this weekend. My first act was to drain the black tank immediately upon arrival at the campsite. The water came out VERY brown, even though we had not used the toilet so the only things in the tank were clear water and the Rid-X. I flushed it til it ran clean then put 10 gallons of water in the tank prior to use.
First we observed the black tank STUNK when flushing it, Much worse than ever before...........a residual effect fro the Rid-X is my guess.
At the end of the 4 day trip I drained the black tank and as usual I used the Black Tank Flush mechanism to fill and drain the tank til the water ran clear. This took 4 times filling the tank and draining to get this accomplished.
Prior to all this the black tank always indicated 2/3 full, even though we use a modified Geo Method of 10 gallons of water and about 3/4 cup of Dawn after draining the tanks prior to next trip.
Now for the results,..........When I checked the black tank prior to adding the 10 gallons of water it read ZERO!!
Had this not worked I was going to buy the Horst Miracle Probes but I just saved myself that expense and trouble installing them.............I think.
Lets see how long they stay this way!.
PS, after completely flushing the tank the second time the stink went away from the empty tank as well.

Today I went up onto the roof and cleaned both AC units.
I found several Dirt Dauber nests in each one. Naturally I took them off and threw them.
Simple Green sprayed with a squirt bottle into both the Evaporator and Condenser then washed out with a spray head on a garden hose made the aluminum vanes and tubing shine like new. I could easily see daylight coming from the other side of the fins when I was through
When spraying I used a stream not a spray to get the SG into the and trough the fins.
The cover screws on the rear unit were very rusty and in fact one of them had to be cut off with a Dremel tool because the phillips screwdriver would not turn it due to the rust int he phillips slots.
I replaced those screws with hex head ones. 5/16" head the same as teh evaporator cover inside the units.
Lets see how they fare next trip.

While cleaning the two AC units I found two bad spots in the rubber roof. I decided to solve those problems once and for all.
First O removed the two AC units and the Camco cover over the bathroom vent. Then I thoroughly washed the roof. Finally I applied two coats of Gaco Roof on the entire roof.
It is a silicone based product with a 50 year guarantee that is fully compatible with RV Rubber roofing products. It stays flexible and was significantly less expensive than replacing the rubber membrane.

Changed Thetford toilet seals. Would not hold water in bowl.
Took at most 30 mins. Bought seals online 31708 is my blade seal (the leaking one) and a kit includes the mounting seal.
here is the video that matches my hand flush (blade) toilet.
my only comment was I needed a pair of pliers to grip the old blade seal to get it out.
I removed the toilet, took in garage, and replaced seal, Could have done it all in bathroom. This was the only video I found that matched my toilet and blade seal.

I did PRECISELY THAT!!! And they are still unrotated on this forum! It happens to me and lots of others who have complained about this VERY SAME THING!
Thanks I made them myself in my friend's Cabinet Shop out of Cherry and Mahogany.
The forums rotate the image for best fit. So, usually with the long dimension sideways. You need to crop image so that it is more horizontal vs vertical. Then it will not be rotated. Took me a while to figure that out.

Over the past week I’ve been collecting a polypropylene water tank (35gal) and a water pump (matching the one in my Cherokee 274rk) from Amazon I had to get a water strainer from Camping World. I had a polypropylene valve in the garage. I cut a vinyl mesh supply hose in half. And added hose fittings. I mounted the pump to a piece of plywood added an inline 10 amp fuse with a 10 foot (household extension cord) and two battery clips. (Looks like a elementary school science project). Today I filled the tank with water at camp. I filled the TT water tank in just under 10 minutes. I added more water to the tank and hooked the hose to the TT city water port. Worked perfectly, Pump has pressure switch so it came on/off as demanded by faucets in TT. With my 3200w Firman gen and water, I CAN BOOKDOCK AS LONG AS I WANT!
See you in the desert ,

This forum doesn't rotate the images at all. It just puts them in however they were taken with the camera.
Also it's actually a problem with the vBulletin software that they don't plan on fixing. At least as of 2014.
What tire covers do you recommend? Ours tire blew out 30 minutes into a long trip and the repair man said it was due to weathering, we need covers and are fairly new owners.
