I got the awning fabric replaced and this weekend going to be putting in a check valve for the city water connection and then start dewinterizing it to go on our vacation next month.

Made the Bed

We went out for the first time this year the end of March, first of April. I was trying to make the bed and hurt my leg on the carpet extension in from of the bedside table. That was enough for me! I was tired of trying to wrestle the sheet, blanket and comforter into place. As soon as I got home I ordered Beddy's! Worth every penny. I stripped those other sheets, blanket and comforter and as quick as putting a fitted sheet on I got the Beddy's on. It was super easy. Used my little sheet suspenders on each corner and it looks fabulous!

One thing I don't like is that the sides are baggy because they make them real deep so one size fits all. I'm going to get some bed suspenders and attach them on the underside to tighten it up.
Chris see the picture I posted in a previous post on this thread. We have the matress that came with the RV and a foam/eggcrate topper. Maybe the 2 are 8 inches. I already used the suspenders with my fitted sheet so I had a set. The fit wasn't awful but they are definitely made for thicker mattresses.

Thanks. Our bed suspenders were delivered today. We'll try then next weekend.

Today I installed the Dexter Torflex lift kit in hope of getting in and out of my driveway easier. It wasn’t too difficult of a job. Trailer looks good. Also greased the wheel bearings and checked my brake shoes. I will adjust my WDH this week for the new height, and we will be ready for our next trip. Trying to get as many trips as possible before the 17 year cicada hatch this year.

Other than noise, how does that deter you?

Actually, I really like the noise. It is getting my daughters and wife to leave the house that limits me. I remember the last one, and it shut down a lot of outside activities for the family. I read that they are forecasting a worse hatch than previous. *♂️ My family has already declared they will remain inside until it is over.

We finally opened it up, de-winterized it and spent the weekend camping in it.

Only had a few minor problems. Had to change the rubber gasket in my city water inlet. Had a minor issue with one of my propane hoses leaking.

My parents had some easy fixes with cleaning out the aerator on their kitchen faucet (no water pressure) and changing the fan setting on their thermostat from "HI" to "Auto" (fan ran constantly).

Overall a pretty good weekend. Can't wait to do it all again this Friday.

I put bumper stickers on my tool box and considered washing the camper. Not in that order.

So, it's just their objection to bugs?

Installed some hanging organizers in the tiny wardrobes in my trailer. Thinking about taking down the valance so the door will open all the way also.

No. It is their objection to large bugs flying round like a plague and landing in their hair and crunching when they accidentally step on the dead ones while running for the vehicle. It is quite comical in my opinion.

And for those that still have olfactory senses (my wife) they stink.

Yep...it can be a little unnerving. When the Junebugs are bad, even I won't go out in the dark, especially around a nice bright light. I had one latch on to my lower lip one time, and I'm quite sure I would have provided you quite a comedy show. Those things can really latch on.

After a few seasons of picking up the propane tank cover to connect chains for weight distribution bars I finally cut a notch out so I no longer have to lift it while pulling up on the pipe in a awkward position

What did you do to your camper today?

I pulled the trigger on getting rid of the jackknife sofa for RecPro recliners. I installed myself and the hardest part was getting up off the floor from laying down to take out the jackknife.

The last couple of trips it has been cold or raining so they were very useful. I did look for some residential recliners but none would fit into the 58” space

I did put a bolt in to hold them together
