Yesterday I swapped out my stock Castle Rocks with Goodyears. After a blowout on my last trip (though to be fair, there was a nail in the tire) I decided to go with a higher quality tire, and I also installed external TPMS sensors so I can keep an eye on pressure and temp from now on. Though I do wonder how well an external sensor (one that replaces the valve stem cover) can monitor temperature of the tire...

I replaced my 4year old Castle Rock tires with new Carlisle tires. My Castle Rock tires lasted for over 25,000 kms. I never needed to add air. I live in B.C. where temperatures fluctuate from plus 40 to -20 celsius. The so called China bombs worked well for me. Hope the new Carlisles do as well.

A Morryde storage box came in yesterday. It will fit where the old steps went on the camper.. Wonder what I'll be doing this weekend. and the RV Steadyfast system came in, that will be installed when it's not so hot out there

It’s great to hear someone had good experience with their Castle Rock tires. It seems like a lot of the “China bomb” reports are from people with larger (heavier) trailers in the southern states, but certainly not all. I’m sure your new Carlisle tires will perform even better than the Castle Rocks.

My 11,000# 5er came with Load Range E Castle Rock tires that I swapped out for the Goodyear Endurance shortly after purchasing it out of an abundance of caution. The Goodyears are the same load range but they are a much beefier tire than the Castle Rocks. Fortunately, Flagstaff and Rockwood have switched to Goodyear Endurance as standard equipment now, so no there’s need to worry about the OE tires.

I got 30k+ miles out of my castle rocks. Even had one with a nail, had it plugged, and kept going.
I also just got some Carlisles this season. The tread on the rocks were getting worn. I got load range D, up from C, and I like them. Not so squishy on my leveling boards.

I would like to see pictures of the box once installed. I’m contemplating purchasing the same box for my gap when I removed the steps.

Replaced the 50" den TV with a TCL 50" 4k UHD Roku TV. Was tired of using 2 remotes to run my Roku because the TV that came with the trailer would not work with the Roku remote. Also installed a Sonos beam which cost more than TV. We love streaming in the rain and this will be a lot nicer setup than the factory crap. The Sonos will play music from my iPhone, so no need for the factory radio anymore. Maybe I will just remove all that crap and make them little cubby holes. Works great with my Visible hotspot with unlimited data.

No disrespect with this post because I had the same issue. Our 50" R/V tv wouldn't sync with the ROKU remote or vise versa. I couldn't justify replacing the tv so I bought a Sideclick remote that slides on the ROKU remote for $30. Problem solved.

LOL... back in the day... I WAS THE REMOTE! Dad would say go change the channel to 6 and up one of us kids would jump! Of course, we only got 3 channels and for one of them, one of us kids had to go outside and twist the antenna mast about 130º. It had a pair of vice grips permanently attached to the mast!

My how times have changed!

I saw the sidekick. That is really neat. But I also needed an HDMI ARC output for the Sonos sound bar and the cheapo stock TV had none. And I wanted 4k HDR. So I just bought a new TV. I have the same TV in my master bedroom at home and it's a great TV.

We only had 4 channels (NBC, ABC, CBS and PBS on the UHF). We had a mast mounted antennae as well, but never had to move it. When I was young, I was always scared to death of the constant clanking when it was windy. Thought someone was trying to get in the house. Turns out it was the antennae cables slapping on the tower. Wish I had found that out sooner. Maybe I would have turned out normal.

We also had a party line on our phone. Shared it with 6 neighbors.

Temporarily repaired the large crack in the top of my refrigerator roof vent with Gorilla tape. I haven't been on the roof in a couple of weeks. We've had major rains in the meantime. I'm sure I got some water intrusion.

I was unimpressed with the strength of the plastic. It's VERY flimsy.

Check your refrigerator vents.

I spooned on an extra Castle Rock onto a spare rim last night. I'm waiting on a long enough U-bolt to arrive to mount.

Got it put in this morning, a total or 10 bolts. Real easy directions.

I didn’t do it myself, but had a slide topper put on. Picked up an electric tongue jack.

Reassembled the loose p-trap under the kitchen sink and cleaned up the pond that resulted from it.

Other than having loosened from 2 years of road vibration, I can't fathom why it would be loose other than incomplete assembly. I never checked it. I suggest you check yours.

On my trailer I removed a cosmetic panel to get to it, and for other reasons, but I could have gotten to it by removing a kitchen drawer.

Tow vehicle not camper

Got the A/C working in the tow vehicle, it was a real pain. The brine they spray on the roads here in the Buckeye makes everything rust soooo fast.
Ice cold air again!

I feel your pain!! I’m a fellow Buckeye. Between the brine and salt we can’t win!
