I fixed the spigot on the side of my house so that I can fill it with water..

It's only taken 3 trips to 2 different home centers over the course of a week to accomplish....

Hughes Autoformer uses the acronym EPO for their Power Watchdog product. Progressive Industries calls theirs an EMS. Southwire calls theirs the Surge Guard (no acronym). They all offer the same functionality except that the Power Watchdog offers bluetooth connectivity to a phone/tablet app.

In the process of getting new GY Endurance tire set, I think the previous set of endurance tires have been on 5 years. Put them on the 1st year they were released. Had 1 low tire when I brought it out of storage. Tread not really worn out but I see cracks appearing in the grooves. So goes rving!

Not much, but I did wipe all the seals with 303, lubed all the locks, the slide, and the stabjacks, then pulled one of the propane tanks.

Bonus: I discovered that Lippert's WE RV OneControl app reports battery voltage via Bluetooth connection!

Actually, the Hughes Watchdog unit does offer more than just bluetooth connectivity to a smartphone app. This product can be used in conjunction with the RV Whisper system. I get texts and emails when I'm away from the campground on all Watchdog alert conditions....power surges, sags, if it temporarily cuts power to the RV, when it restores power, etc. Can't do that with the Progressive Industries or Southwire products.

Cool! That’s really handy.

Oh! Right on, that’s sweet. And my bad, I didn’t realize they used different acronyms…

Its been a busy spring.

Instled a MoRyde storage box in place of our old steps.

Upgraded converter and installed 2 100A/hr LifPo4 batteries.

Instled a 7" Haloview 3 camers system.

And just for fun, I built a switched running lights on/emergency flasher system incase I ever have to abandon it along the road

What did you use as a flasher?

The wiring of the switch looks like it's SPDT. What happens in the different positions? Running lights on/off vs emergency flashers on off?

It's just a simple on/off/on switcn. The center pole is the 12v feed. Switched one direction it feeds the marker/tail lights switched the other way it feeds via the flasher to the marker/tail & break lights.

After the shakedown trip:
  • Maxxair Vent Cover
  • Built a jig for the 12v Outlet cluster that I want to install above the fireplace.
  • Ordered an Oxygenics Fury Showerhead as Mrs. H. says the pressure is too low in the factory one.
  • Thought about how we can keep our daughter from rolling out of the bunks and a ladder.
  • Subscribed to Cat Scales "Weigh my truck" app.
  • Added some more hopeful reminders on Reserve America.

Anyone that has ideas on the bed rails / ladder, I'd be happy for advice on.

They make a guard that slides under the mattress (L shape). The weight of the mattress keeps it in place and if the child rolls against it the section under the mattress stays in place because they also have their weight on it. We used it for grand kids sleeping over and never had anyone fall out. I think they come in various lengths also. Do not have a photo but will look for one.

Today I fixed my Dometic electric awning which has been out of adjustment for an embarrassing amount of time hoping it would heal itself. The entire project ended up taking less than 10 minutes, working by myself.
Last week I replaced the 2 battery boxes on the a frame with one larger box that will hold both batteries. Current 12V Exide series 24 deep cycles are 4 years old. Still deciding whether to go with 2 golf cart or get new series 24. We have 50 nights booked this year and only 14 are non-electric sites.

Washed it.

Replaced the water filter cartridge.

Attached a fused SAE pigtail to the battery to use with a 10 AWG extension cord

Took apart the Showermiser to find out what the restriction is. After disassembly (it's easy) I determined the outflow line is kinked or restricted. Now I have to figure out how to fix that, since it's behind the shower.

Drained the black and gray tanks with the macerator pump.

This.

We built ours with "hardboard" and 1x in the corner. It's surprisingly strong. The store bought flip-down ones have bars that are huge/lumpy under a thin foam mattress.

Something we considered for our younger one was a mesh/net and eye bolts. They do it on sailboats (for adults, even) and it has a name I can never remember....

Used a cutoff wheel on my Dremel to trim a couple of holes off the end of my Fastway OneStep wheel chocks. The wheels on the Mini-Lite are close together, requiring the Onestep to be adjusted to its shortest configuration. That makes the back end of one leg hit the top of the opposite wedge. Getting it in and out is a b*ch and not worth the effort. I trimmed off the end, making it usable.

Heng’s Vortex I

I finally pulled the trigger for the upgrade.

I will say this early I thank Forrest River installers they left enough wire I could connect fan on sink then put it up and push extra wire into roof space. There might be another time in the future to thank them but mostly I just shake my head when i need to fix or work on something

It was a little challenging to line up crank knob but not bad, start to finish about 30 minutes and 2 adult beverages in the can

Installed a Solera slide topper, works great.

Short story here...Bought it in the beginning of February through Amazon and weather was cruddy, so we waited. I opened up the package to check for damage and all was good. Fastforward to yesterday we opened the hardware pack and one of the two small plastic cosmetic caps were broken. Not totally destroyed, but is was in two pieces. Called Lippert CS and they told me I had do go through Amazon, but I know Amazon doesn't carry individual parts which is why I called Lippert. Anyways, they said the part was $5.95+SH and 5 days out, but they insisted that I go through the Amazon channel first...OK and I'm glad I did.

Had the same discussion with Amazon CS and they don't carry the part, so they presented me with two options, 1) Ship out another full slide topper and keep my existing one or 2) refund my money and still keep the one I have. Either option I choose I keep my original slide topper. So, I chose option 1 and now I have a full sparts parts replacement kit.

I thought about the refund, but...meh...I'm still not out anything.

Moral of the story: If you bought it through Amazon, then consult with Amazon and not the manufacturer.
