You're right, I looked again, there's no way I'm going to pull more than 6000W constantly. That would trash my house batteries in under a half hour.

Today I replaced a leaky toilet valve. Took about 25 minutes including time to get the tools out and putting them away.

Went in and turned off the radio. I have an oldies thumb drive in it and it powers on with every loss and regain of house power.

Could you remove the fuse to prevent that from happening?

Yes, but I have to sit or lay on the floor with a flashlight to get out (and later, reinstall) the auto blade type fuse. HUGE BOTHER for this 68 yo with bad knees. The fuse panel placement is not for convenience or regular access ;(
I chose not to cover the TT this winter, so it’s easy to go in and turn it off when I notice it playing.

I installed a simple 12v rocker switch on my last trailer to shut off the radio.

Killed a parasite
I eliminated one of my parasites today. I had a light in the forward pass through that had a motion sensor on it so that it would come on when you opened the hatch. I was never happy with the operation and had the switch on it set to OFF but even so it was eating 8mA. I found that it wasn't working at all so I replaced it with a light with an ON/OFF switch (no motion sensor). Now when its off, there is no current flow.

I called the RV repair shop (that has had the FW since late November) to inquire about the status of the Schwintek slide repair. They had just received the parts and will be working on it next week. Good thing we don't need it right now, and it saves me storage fees, yay.

That's very nice. I'm thinking something similar for ours.

I used these LED’s https://a.co/d/75CZQnU cut to the length of each side and I soldered wires the width of the pantry from one end to the other side. I used this for a magnetic switch https://a.co/d/6E2RKUh (Looks like they are unavailable now). And I used a standard relay seeing how the magnetic switch is only rated for .5 Amps and the LED’s pulled slightly more than 1 Amp. 5 Amp inline fuse from the back of the tv amplifier switch to power it all.

Hi,
Over the last few days I noticed the right arm of the couch was getting increasingly loose. My couch is the old type with removable armrests that have some sort of a blade that slides into a metal frame inside the lower part of the side of the couch. We use this armrest a lot to sit square when we watch TV.
We had the couch and the dinette benches re-upholstered when we bought it, so I wanted to resolidify the armrest without messing with it.
The side was easy enough to remove: 4 3-inch screws. I worked very slowly to peel off the fabric, and inside I found that the metal slide had been screwed right in the joint where a vertical (maple) piece of frame meets a horizontal (pine!) piece of frame.
The two top screws were essentially holding in thin air, while the other 2 were hardly pushing onto the metal slide. In addition, the vertical post was cracked.
I glued and screwed a re-inforcement piece of hardwood behind the vertical frame, drilled new holes in the slide, away from the joint, used additional screws, and reassembled the unit.
Final step will be to put the fabric back onto the unit and install it back in its rightful place.
Maurice

Added a parasite
I installed a new lighted switch for my living room lights. It has a tiny LED so I can find the switch in the dark. The locator LED will eat less than 1mA so not too bad of a parasite. I kept the original switch and used it to power a newly installed LED above my convenience panel.

Replaced my GoPower PWM solar charge controller with a Victron MPPT 100/50. Wish I would have went this route from the beginning.

I replaced the primary propane regulator on my 5th wheel. The old one had a serious leak out the automatic switch-over valve. I discovered the leak on our last RV trip of 2022. I thought I was buying an exact replacement but, alas, the new one is smaller. I calculated propane usage of all my appliances to determine the new, smaller one is plenty sufficient. I was handicapped doing this swap due to arthroscopic shoulder surgery in January so it was hard reaching through the little propane compartment door to do the job.
