Installed a pair of sliding door latches, reinforced a couple of large drawers in the bedroom, that had cheesy slides, removed a bunch of stickers and seasoned the griddle.

Striped off the Wolf Pup decal from the front. It was partially blocked by the CIGS solar panel. More will be covered by the 2nd panel when it arrives. Cleaned the glue residue from the stick on raised LIMITED letters so the panel will have a flat surface to adhere to. Fairly easy, but sweaty in the sunlight on a ladder.
3M stick on cable clips worked fine holding down exterior solar wiring last trip. 100 miles there, 100 miles back, mostly at 65mph with cruise control on I-80.

Replaced a hinge on my kitchen folding shelf for the FIFTH time. Because this already happened more than once, I carry spares.

In the folded position, the weight of the shelf bouncing down the highway causes a fracture due to metal fatigue at the 90° angle section where it stands away from the cabinet.

The same thing happened last year. I planned to take it to a machine shop to have them weld a reinforcement bar in the joint but never got around to it. I will, when I return home next month.

Ordered the sealant (3M-4000) to re-attach the front cab window on my Prism 24G. It came loose last trip and while the temp gorilla tape repair held up for the 600 miles home, it needs a permanent fix. I also removed the trim and the shade around it. Just waiting on Amazon to deliver the sealant next week.

Beautiful summers, but the winters are just too cold for me. Way too cold. Anyway, hope you have a good winter, and see ya after breakup!
No snow yet around the MOA or MAT-SU areas, but we're entering the rainy season with temps in mid 50's. Just not pleasant camping weather.

Gave her a bath after spending weekend at Watkins Glen race track, plugged in a new Amazon Fire Stick and got it configured work the campers MiFi device.
The AC in the living area wasn't working, found my wiring for a soft start was lacking, fixed and now working. Recliners where wondering around, found when the dealer fixed one of the recliners, which wasn't reclining, failed to install the Z clips that hold the chairs in place weren't properly secured that's now fixed.
Speaking of that recliner it broke again, the release bracket mount screw came loose, tighten it up.

I also want to come up with a bit better system for attaching the bikes at the bottom but that's just the way I do things. Right now I am recovering (hopefully) from the flu so I am doing nothing. Summer colds and flu's really suck .

I finished the added supports for the bike rack last week just before the major storm that took out power, trees and lots of stuff.

I will try to add some pics here. The supports really came out nice and its rigid now . If anyone is interested I do have the top V section for the Jack-it bike rack with all the bike hooks straps pins etc. Make me an off and I can ship.

Added a second 100 watt CIGS solar panel. Installed it in parallel. I used a couple Y wires, ordered 2 pair of the hard parallel adapters I plan on using. I need to make or buy a correct length cable. Using a 20’ to test but I plan on surface mounting the cable to the side inlet. I bought an SAE-SAE 3’ cable to run one panel but it is too short when I connect the 2 panels together.

Over the last several days, since one of the snaps was too loose and came off on the way home (luckily no damage), mounted sliding door latches, a cradle for the awning, gave it a bath and ceramic detailing wipe down. Ziptied some wires that were a little loose for my tastes on the underside and seasoned the griddle. Oh and installed some stick on felt pads to the roller shades. The metal bars were bumping against the window frames and were annoyingly loud.

Slim Shade and Screen Door Latch Assist, are supposed to be here Thurs.

Added an accumulator that I already owned to reduce water pump cycling. It works but I wouldn't buy one just for that purpose.

In the process, I found a small leak at a diverter valve I installed for pumping water from a bladder into the fresh water tank. It's small and I don't want to risk a disastrous plumbing problem by attempting repair on the road.

I put a super-absorbent towel under it to prevent drips from running out toward the wall. I'll wring it out every day. It won't hurt the floor, it's being vinyl.

On the subject of repairing the leak, are there any tricks to applying the stainless clamp in a way that prevents leaks? It's reinforced hose on a barb fitting. I have the appropriate tools to assure that the clamp is fully closed.Attachment 292019Click image for larger version

Had a faucet left on in the outside kitchen (and of course the faucet head wasn’t over the sink.) discovered this fact the morning after I hooked up water right before bed at our new semi-permanent campsite. Flooded the outside kitchen and turned the counter into a soggy mess.

Stripped everything out down to the “studs”. Decided to remove the TV swivel that has never been used in a decade, add insulation in the wall (no insulation in a semi-exterior wall… WTH Forest River?), put in real cabinets (going from one 12x24 to a 18x30 and a 30x18), and a new bigger sink.

Got the tear out done, installed the insulation and new wall panels, and cut new countertop to size. Now just waiting for the cabinets and sink to show up.

My DW is a candidate for double knee replacements but is unable to have the surgery anytime soon. To assist in her entry/exit, I nailed together some PT 2x8's to make essentially half steps. Velcro straps screwed to the ends hold the half steps in place while allowing for their easy removal when breaking camp. They basically lift you 4" with each step as you shift from left to right. (I had already made the base step.)

She loves the idea and said it really helps to ease the pain and difficulty of going up/down the steps.

That is pretty ingenious. Necessity is the mother of invention. And you done good man.

Rotated my jack, so I can open the tailgate and rather than drilling and tapping a new hole, used a rotary file to enlarge one of the holes.

Installed the Lippert Thin Shade, bottom up.

Installed and caulked an awning cradle.

Installed the Lippert Screen Door Assist.

Calibrated the LevelMate Pro.

Insulation is good almost anywhere you can add it on an RV.

Is the Screen Door Assist the same thing as a Screen Shot, i.e., a screen door closer?

No, its a combo type handle, that can be used to unlatch to open, or close the screen door from the inside.

No more reaching way out and have really nothing to grab to close it and can be opened with full hands.

Nice invention and a no brainer mod IMO.

That thing is amazing, how have I never heard of this? I install these cross bars from Camco on all my trailers, but that Lippert thing is genius.
