Guess that's why birds fly south in the winter and back north in the summer.

(Not bragging) but I've never had to winterize here. But the summers are brutal. Not much fun even to camp in. The Fall and Spring is best and even winters are tolerable. Maybe a dozen nights under 20*.

Hurricane may have "missed" us but we took a call yesterday afternoon where two people drownd in their car after it over turned in a flooded area so it is still kick our butts. Worse part about it.. They were on 911 as their car was filling up. Scary and sad.

Now that is a great idea!

I saw that on the news early this morning. I just saw a video of a house in the water from Wildwood. They said the whole house fell in around midnight. It looked like it is is the bay floating out. Not good.
As for what did I do, we are preparing for the trip south to Fort Wilderness in a couple of weeks. One thing for sure is it's getting a good rinse with all the rain here on the east coast of Jersey. I might go out with the brush and some soap.

While doing the bearing repack boogie, I noticed a small nail in a tire. Looks like it's been there for awhile. Not taking any chances. Have the TT up on jack stands on 1 side. Taking the 2 tires to the tire shop to be balanced/repaired/inspected on Monday. Will do the other side a couple days later.

Tested the heating system just in case we want to use it next week. Sanitized the FW holding tank and plumbing. All shined up and ready to go.

Tightened the screws on the bedroom slide and caulked it and all the windows. They had a BBQ at the storage area where I keep the 5th wheel. It was nice to have lunch while doing my thing.

Today we packed up the Park Model. Cold and windy 35 degrees! The awning needs to be cleaned yet, hopefully next weekend the last the park is open. Leaves blowing all over so cleanup is a chore.

All of our October plans changed due to the rain this weekend, we had to reschedule our camping trip to the SC mountains to March. We don't want to but looks like our season is over, kids don't have any other long weekends out of school until Thanksgiving. I have drained the water system but haven't added pink antifreeze yet.
