Have a safe trip. Bad stuff hitting here late tonight. Maybe you will make it ahead of the storm as really high winds predicted. Later RJD

Installed 2 new camco roof vent covers, white, to replace the thin, cheap, dry rotted black ones that came on my rockwood. These are much thicker.

How much does it help

Any feedback on how much it helps? We regularly camp at a place where TV reception is really bad, but I have hesitated to commit to antenna change thinking it may not make enough difference to matter.

X2! If nothing else, the visual inside our MH lets us know what kind of signal we have. We have camped a few places with little to no signal, but even with a weak signal (closest tower 50+ miles away, with moderate sized mountains blocking us) we get enough of a digital signal to lock on.

Ha. That's funny. A camo fiver would make a great deer blind.
Not sure about the original covers. They were on the rockwood when we bought it new. Probably from the factory. They were so oxidized and brittle they fell apart on touch. Very thin. One above kitchen and one above sofa. The third in the bath is maxaire power vent. Its still good.

Went to the BMV to process a State to State title transfer to get the hemi plated. But I guess I need to have a BMV employee or a cop do a check on the VIN to make sure its not stolen. - I wasn't aware of this.

Same thing in Florida. Have to bring EVERYTHING to Florida Motor Vehicle Office (aka County Tax Office). In our case, that means truck & 5er just so they can verify the VIN's. Oh, and by the way, they don't go out in the rain. That happened to us last year, We elected to wait & the rain stopped 45 minutes later so, they then the clerk (very nice girl) came out to verify.

Washington is the same...If came from another state, must be inspected....The Cop Shop is about 100 yards from the DMV office.

Yeah I currently have the camper about 3 hours (round trip) away at our family farm for winter storage. So the lady told me I could just have a Cop or Sherrif out to verify the VIN and send them the information. Luckily its a small town, so hopefully we can get someone out and they won't actually charge.

I am a transplant to Kentucky and we have weird stuff here. Just a tt here no real issue with tags because I bought it from a KY dealer so the handled the transfer of the tag that was on it because in Kentucky the plates stay with vehicle.
Now when I bought my sons blazer out of state whole different story, since it is not running I had to pay sheriff office $15 to come to my house and check vin so I could get a classic title, that just transfers ownership. When I have it street worthy I have to buy temp tag so I can drive it to sheriff office for an inspection, another $15. Then I can get a full title and plates. If I I had bought it in KY in the same conditions no inspections what so ever.

Where we normally got 3 channels with our Winegard, we now get 9 channels on the exact same spot. Very happy with our Jack! Plus you don't give it a second thought about lowering the antenna.

Replaced the Batwing with a Rayzar and improved our reception also. Good U-Tube video on lubing the gear mechanism, didn't know about the little black access hole for lube.

Changed out the factory lippert suspension shackles and installed an equa flex stabilizer with MORRYDE heavy duty shackles with wet bolts. Haven't pulled with it yet but after looking at the nearly worn thru bushings, I'm thinking this will cut down on the noise.
I will post some install hints on the tech forum.

I was looking at our Flagstaff 27 RLWS and decided that the top spot in our kitchen drawers wasn't very functional because it is just made to hold soap, sponges, etc. So, I decided to make it a drawer. The faceplate is pretty much the same size as the other drawer fronts, except for the hinges. I made a drawer out of 1/2" birch plywood, and fastened the drawer front to it. I then remove the drawer slides from the cabinet, installed a couple of extension risers to the lower rack, and installed new upper drawer slides for the new drawer. There was a piece of wood trim in the corner of the opening, and it was removed by taking out four screws that hold it in place. I then reinstalled the newly modified drawer slides, and filled the screwholes that held the hinges on the cabinet frame. Now, we have a forth drawer in the kitchen. It has a spot cut into the top for a drawer pull, but I am going to install a knob.

Checked and adjusted air pressure in truck and trailer tires, checked torque on all lug bolts and revolution wedge. Sanitized fresh water tank and lines, filled water tank about 1/2 full. Stocked fridge and dry food. Pulling out early in the morning for the warmer parts of south Texas. 40's for the hi here today, 36º for the over night low tonight. About an inch of snow a couple of nights ago, tired of the cold, getting out of here for awhile.

We are on Marathon Key in Florida where the temp was 80* today. Have fun going south and be safe.
