How quickly I forget. Yesterday and today, I tested my battery. Back in Tucson, it left me hanging on a cold night. Seemed like it drew down unusually quick.

Yesterday I pulled the battery and checked it with a voltmeter. It was showing 12.9v (aka > 100% state of charge). I also checked it with a hydrometer to make sure all of the cells were good and consistent across each other (as far as I could tell- they are).

I let the battery sit, disconnected, until today and repeated the voltmeter check. Earlier today at about 20 hours from the day prior, it still showed in the 12.9v area. I need to step out and check it one more time.

It seems weird to me that it was still reading so high after 20 hours of being unplugged.

Less fun. Still have a stubborn slow leak at the back of the camper. I fixed a leak on the hot water side and then the cold side. And now it looks like either the freeze cycles have done a number on the hot side or the clamp wasn't tight enough. We'll see. I gave it an extra turn or two and then I'll watch it.

And went shopping for new stabilizers and a 5' piece of sewer hose.

I think you're going to have to replace the worm clamps with the pex type clamps that are on the blue & red hose. Can't get the worm style clamps tight enough to compress/seal the RV style hose/fittings......I tried too.

You can get the tool & clamps at Home Depot or Lowes.

The clamps that aren't working at the ones around the white flexible lines to the 90-degree connectors. That's not pex, is it?

NO, not pex....do the screw clamps have a hex head....use a wrench on 'em or a nut driver....you want the clamp to make an impression on the hose..

They did have some shape to them. If (when?) it leaks again, I'll try that.

Doug I just had to repair a water leak at the hose connection. I was getting water under my cabinet then leaking in my galley, found that the hose clamps were loose I put a good 4 turns with a socket wrench on for connections that where all dripping. Not easy to crawl around in the basement to find them all leaking a little causing my problem also. I suggest you check all of them that you can get to. Be Careful not to crack the connectors that the hose clamps to.... Very easy to do with the cheap fittings that FR use.... Good luck, leaks are not good Bud....

Google 'shark Bite fittings....there is a Pex to 1/2 pipe fitting that will accept a female hose adapter that are available in brass that will screw onto the Pex 'shark-bite' fitt'n

I noticed there were a few panels in the trailer that were placarded "Not for Storage" but were removable via the set screws. However, the panel behind the toilet didn't have a placard but was removable by removing the screws. Took the screws out and found a completely empty area about 7" x 24".

Replaced the screws with small knobs and put velcro things on to now hold the panel in place. I'm going to use the newly found area to store cleaning supplies. My Vengeance 25V has the same floorplan as the Grey Wolf 26RR (although slightly larger all around) so folks with the Grey Wolf may find the same space available.

That's what I thought too. Problem is either the clamp broke or the "gear mesh" starts slipping from overtightening. Could have been a cheap clamp though. So, I just went and got the tool & clamps and haven't had a leak since.

Tool will run between $17 & $50 depending on how "fancy" you wanna be. I went for the middle at around $35?

Started my Georgetown this afternoon and kicked on the generator. Let everything warm up while I was watching a movie on Showtime. Kicked on the heat strips to put a load on the generator. Sitting there in my parking lot, I got the itch to take her out for a spin, so I cruised around a bit. I have an EMS I need to install, but it's too cold out and I can't get into my building at the moment. I also bought some pretty cool LED light and motion sensing lights to put in the storage compartments. Spring can't come soon enough.

Found water on the floor after wife and I took showers. Found out the drain where it attaches to the pan was leaking. Replaced the plastic fitting with a chrome one. Should fix it, after testing, looks good. Now need to test with someone in the shower with weight on the pan.

While in Quartzite for the show, I found a part that tells you exactly how much water you are using from your tank. Have to put a fitting in line near the pump. Will try to find a nice location to put the gauge. Will try to do this in the next week or two.

Had the same with mine. Not home of course. Went to Lowes got the parts and fixed, then braced so it would not happen again.

I ran across the picture of this as I was looking for my member number and thought I'd update it. So far, I have 3,840 miles towed with these zip ties. I still feel like I'm living dangerously, but I'm pretty happy with its performance so far.

In other news, I started working to remove the stabilizers yesterday. Crappy tools and lack of ability meant that I laid on the ground for hours and didn't make a whole lot of progress. Going to be back at it today.

Topped off the gas and the propane and started loading up for a trip to Gulfport, MS. Looks like a couple of days of non-freezing temps, so will de-winterize tomorrow. Anxious to get out!

What I did today?

Cancelled reservations for the next 5 days that I made several months ago. The reason is that my mom(will be 90 tomorrow) is in the final days of her battle with liver cancer. I don't expect her to make it much longer. Just wouldn't be right for us to be camping in this situation. There will be trips in the future we can take.

Life isn't much fun right now.

I had a problem with that same white flex-to-pex type connection in my last trailer.
I think the I.D.'s of the two lines are just enough different that the PLASTIC pex elbow doesn't seal well on the white flex line. I tried worm clamps and regular pex clamps on the white flex side but always got a drip after some time passed.

I wound up swapping the plastic elbow for BRASS pex ell's and that solved the problem.

Of course to do this swap you need to buy the pex clamp tool (at least for the pex side of the connection) and I realize you mentioned you didn't want to do that. I just wanted you to know the brass ell solved the problem.
