Setup here at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons NC.
I did discover that the dump valve for the rear connection must not be closing all the way. Removed the cap to hookup and was greated with some stuff. I caught it before it made a mess and quickly reinstalled the cap and found a bucket. Caught the stuff in the bucket and then hooked up. Was about 2 gallons of water.
Guess I need to look into that. Anyone know where the actual gate valves are? Would like to avoid pulling the whole underside correlated plastic sheeting off, but will of necessary.

Ordered a wireless dimmer for the bathroom light, most annoying thing was being blinded in the middle of the night when I had to use the bathroom. Technorv.com $35

The actual hate valves are up under neath the plastic belly, same deal with mine when new, valve wouldn't close all the way. Took belly down enough to undo the four bolts holding blade valve together and one of the knockouts from tank was wedged in there

Was the gate valve near the outlet, or somewhere else? The less plastic I have to drop the better!

Some people use a box knife and cut a 3 sided trap door then use black Gorilla tape. Is your valve operated with a rod or cable?

It's pretty close to the outlet, I think I took four or five screws out of that side and it was enough that I could get both hands up in there, reinstall with zip screws and fender washers

A really great tool you can get at HF is a camera that you can snake into tight areas to see what is there. Self lit and very handy at home/RV. Small opening in underbelly and look for valve. Not enough time to list all the uses!

I wanted to put on the new Oxygenics shower head, sterilize the FW and get it ready for camping next weekend. But we woke up to 5 inches of snow and its going to be 19 degrees tonight. At least they are still calling for upper 60's- low 70's next weekend. Will be busy at the end of the week getting the camper ready.

So, I learned today - the wind was crazy hard when we got here. You could watch the door flop around without the 2nd strut AND it eventually closed itself.
I'll be grabbing the octogon cover, some white paint, and installing it soon.

The suggestions mentioned previously are by far your most inexpensive method of repair. There is also a company making an adhesive backed repair plate.
Hatchlift.
There are some good photos throughout their web site to help guide however you choose to repair.

That is interesting as I talked to my dad about different repairs over the years. One of his "in a pinch" go-tos is to use caulk as a glue. He says that they would use it for crazy random things with printing presses and never had issues with it.
