Installed a 100 watt solar panel on the roof. I attached the panel to the roof with well nuts and a generous amount of Dicor. Ran wires down through fridge vent and into the water heater / furnace utility area. Next weekend I will run the wires under the trailer and up to the charge controller on the front of the trailer.

Keep the panels covered until you are ready to connect everything permanent. In sunlight they will make power.

Thanks. I did not connect the pigtails coming off of the panel for just that reason.

According to my instructions, they recommended that you keep the panels covered until completed. Something about uncontrolled output.

Even with a couple inches of snow on them, if the sun is bright, they will put out under 2 amp!

Fixed the bathroom vanity door screw that snapped the head off last week.
Put rubber bumpers on the ladder for the kid's bunk beds to avoid wear on the wall when stowed.
Pulled off the panels in the back of the storage cabinet under the sink and vacuumed all the sawdust etc from the manufacturer out and mounted the panel back a few more inches to gain add'l space.
I also switched around some of the outlets for the interior and exterior lights so they make more sense to me in terms of order.

There was a lock recall a while back. Maybe this had to do with that?

Only because I'm cheap and like to tinker, I made myself some awning hold down brackets. Need to paint them up and I have some adjustable poles on order.

This past weekend I picked up 5 Maxxis M8008 tires, 5 metal air valves, an extra 30A, 25' extension cord, awning tie down stakes, and propane hose parts for a quick disconnect setup for my Weber BBQ. Ordered parts from the US and had them shipped to a Kinek Point on the border at Wellesley Island, NY.
I have to say I was disappointed with the tires that Discount Tires Direct shipped. I asked the guy on the phone if they were less than 6 months old and he said they had just arrived from the factory. The DOT date code is 4714 so they're already almost a year and a half old!
Taking the TT to a local independent trailer shop on Thursday to have the tires and valves mounted and balanced, and do an annual service on the brakes and bearings.

Parked the 5er back in storage after an excellent quick weekend trip.
Now I have to add to my "to-do" list, apparently we have another propane leak. I just don't see how I could go through a 30lb tank in 4 nights of camping. Fridge\WH running on electric, only propane use was fridge for less than 24 hours and the furnace for 3 nights.

Are you sure it was full?
I've seen some places only half fill them and charge for a full fill.
Also, some of these newer tanks with the OPD (overfill protection device) can be finicky to get filled.

In our old TT we would go thru 1 20lb tank in 3 nights using just the furnace. We would have it set to hold about 65 at night and in the day it was fine. Nights were getting to about 40 for lows. That was just a 26 foot TT. So I would think 4 nights with 30lbs in a 5th wheel would be about right if it had to run much.

What were your daytime and nighttime temps? We'll commonly go through a 30 lb. tank in that length of time.

Got my 5" fence post and end caps, now to make the alum straps to bolt them to the frame behind the landing jacks to stow my 6' folding ladder.

Have we timewarped? You did not have fence posts?

LP tanks are only filled to 80% capacity. A 20 lb tank has approx 16 lb when full or 3 3/4 gal.

I just had the same experience from another online retailer, ordering the same Maxxis tires. 2 were 4814 date code and 3 were 1815 date code.
I was thinking of returning them and ordering from discount tire, based on other folks feedback, but from your experience it's obviously hit & miss with them too.

No time warp, have (2) 5" tubes on the back that have the sunscreens in them, (2) 4.5" perforated round tubes by the dump valve that hold the ground cloths on the curb side and slinkys on the dump side. This one will be mounted in front of the round ones and used for the 6' ladder and the 5' ladder is in the bumper.
