Add BAL Lock-arm Stabilizing bars today... A friend has them and is happy with their performance... Gonna test 'em out next weekend. If hey work well, then might grab a second set of 2 for the other corners..

We have been at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach since Thursday. Weather was perfect Thursday and Friday. Yesterday, however, it rained from noon on. Figured out that the extra room of the Piper provided lots of space on rainy days compared to the DP we had before. There are 8 of us (two families), and have not been cramped yet.
Fortunately the Weather is improving and we will get a few more outside days.
Haven't had to do much to the Piper since we arrived. Did have to adjust the water pressure regulated as it was shipped closed. Also, got the Directv setup quickly on Thursday to all four TVs.
Has been a good trip so far.

Cool idea!

I fashioned an aluminum bracket and mounted it to the door frame, installed a rocker switch (SPST) and ran the wire to three spaced out points along the top. I cut some LED tape (white) into 3 strips of 6 LED's each. I soldered the wire to the LED strips and mounted them on the ceiling of the storage unit with clear silicone caulk.
Now with the flip of a switch, I get a soft glow, just enough to see everything in the dark but not to bright as to overly light up the area.

I like that idea.
I need to learn a little more about the electrical system in there. I wonder if I can one one circuit and hit all three of my storage compartments. I would only have one on at a time so I don't think I would be overloaded and using LEDs I think would help.

You can also mount a micro switch or push button switch that will turn light on when opening door

I just don't know where there wire runs are and how to fish them through and where. I need to get in there and look around. The bottom of the RV has a poly bottom and insulation on it that makes it look inaccessible.

Today I plan to pull the trailer by the garage to flush out the lines and get it washed and ready for next weekend!
The wife needs to fit the custom couch cover she sewed so the dogs don't scratch up the "pleather."
I also and going to rerun the main power line from the battery. The dealer installed it and ran it under the first I-beam of the trailer. I bought a grommet and and going to re-run the wire it so it does not hang low and on the off chance get snagged.

Shouldn't be too hard. If you're running LED's the the amp draw would be very minimal so you should be able to use something as light as 18ga, heavy enough to last but pliable enough to pull everywhere.
Initially I was going to put a miniature, normally open, momentary, depress switch in each door so that the lights would come on every time I opened the doors but though better of it knowing how things like that wear out and didn't want to have to replace them anytime soon.
Here is a pic of it illuminated at night.

Did the same except I put the screen (finer mesh) under the flange.

I wanted to do that but was unsure what would happen if I removed all six screws.

It is a bear cat to remove, first you have to cut the caulking and then very carefully pry the entire cover out, drill out 2 rivets and replace them with ss screws.

I did a bonehead move today. I installed a black tank tornado rinse. Everything went great, except after screwing everything in, I realized I now have a great "grey" water tank rinse instead of the black tank! WOW... I can't believe I did that... Oh well, another one on order, will put it in this week.

Loaded up, topped off the fuel in the truck, and checked the 5er tire pressures... leaving tomorrow morning to camp at R Shaefer Heard, a COE campground on West Point Lake. This is the 2nd trip this year... just missed some beautiful camping weather but couldn't go the last few weeks. Have done several upgrades recently but too tired to try to remember/list this evening.

More electrical fun times- this time a 12v light fixture. A couple of weeks ago it started not working intermittently but tonight it just stopped working entirely (unless you pushed on the switch- then it worked).
First looks show a hot mess (see what I did there? "hot"... you will). The bulbs themselves are slightly charred but the real mess is the switch itself and a wire that runs over/under/around the crimp connectors:
Wearing my trusty headlamp (because this happened at 10:30pm), I pulled the light down:
A second look at the wiring. I guess I should give style points for this sweet loop-dee-loop!
Because the light is switched at the wall, I just bypassed the switch on the fixture using a wire nut:
#notanelectrician, I electrical taped the whole mess (at least things I mucked with):
Closed it all back up and it's working good as new. I want to address the bulb heat issue with LED lights sometime soon. And really, I want a pretty light for there anyway. It's our bedroom dang nabbit.
